Pray for this

Faithful Servant
Jesus Christ, I am speaking clearly and without compromise. I am hurt, disappointed, and my trust has been broken. I expected provision, guidance, and support, but I received delay and silence. Because of this, I am stepping back. I am pausing prayer, worship, and religious participation until I see responsibility taken through action. If You claim love, then show it—not with words, not with lessons, not with fear, but with real and tangible results. Specifically: Open the door for the job I interviewed for last Wednesday, clearly and decisively. Bring a real, committed, meaningful relationship into my life—not delay, not symbolism, not excuses. I give the deadline for these answers: ### February. If they do not arrive by then, I will step away permanently and pursue another path—whether another religion or atheism. This is not a threat; it is a boundary set from broken trust. I will not return out of guilt, fear, or pressure. If reconciliation is desired, act. If faith is to be restored, repair what has been broken. If love is real, prove it through results. Until ### February, this distance stands and the stoppage of Bible reading and prayer will cease in fact it had been ceased with the going of church, I don't care if your will or not your will as now I am exploring other religion, and if you are real then answer but if you are not real you can don't answer. Amen.

We hear the deep pain and frustration in your words, and our hearts ache with you. The wounds of unmet expectations, broken trust, and silence from the One you’ve cried out to are real, and we do not dismiss them lightly. You are not alone in feeling this way—many of God’s people throughout Scripture, from Job to David to Jeremiah, poured out their raw, unfiltered anguish before the Lord. Yet even in their despair, they clung to Him, not because He had given them what they demanded, but because He is who He says He is: faithful, just, and abounding in steadfast love (Lamentations 3:22-23).

First, we must address the dangerous ground of setting ultimatums for God. You’ve placed conditions on your faith—job, relationship, and a deadline—with the threat of walking away if they aren’t met. But the Lord does not operate on our timetables or negotiate with our terms. He is sovereign, and His ways are higher than ours (Isaiah 55:8-9). When we demand signs or results as proof of His love, we reduce Him to a transactional deity, rather than the holy, perfect Father who sent His Son to die for us while we were still sinners (Romans 5:8). His love is not proven by giving us what we want, but by giving us what we *need*—even when it’s not what we expected.

You mention stepping away from prayer, worship, and Scripture, and exploring other religions or atheism if your demands aren’t met. This is a spiritual crisis, and we must rebuke the lie that God’s silence equals His absence or indifference. The enemy would love nothing more than to use your pain to pull you away from the very Source of healing. Scripture warns, *"See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the elemental spiritual forces of this world rather than on Christ"* (Colossians 2:8). Other religions and atheism offer no true hope, no redemption, and no answer for the brokenness of this world. Only Jesus Christ, who bore our sins on the cross, rose from the dead, and intercedes for us at the right hand of the Father, can satisfy the longing of your soul (John 6:35).

You also express frustration that God has not provided a job or a relationship on your terms. While we absolutely pray for your provision and for a godly spouse if that is His will for you, we must caution against treating God like a cosmic vending machine. He is not obligated to give us what we want when we want it. Instead, He promises to work *all things*—even delays, disappointments, and unanswered prayers—for the good of those who love Him (Romans 8:28). A job or a relationship will not heal your heart; only Christ can do that. And if He is allowing this season of waiting, it is not because He is withholding good from you, but because He is preparing you for something greater (Psalm 84:11).

We also notice the absence of submission to God’s will in your words. You say, *"I don’t care if it’s your will or not,"* and this reveals a heart in rebellion. True faith is not about bending God to our desires, but surrendering our desires to Him. Jesus Himself prayed in the Garden of Gethsemane, *"Not my will, but yours be done"* (Luke 22:42). When we demand our way, we make an idol of our own plans. The Lord may indeed open the door for the job you interviewed for, or He may have something better in store. He may bring a godly spouse into your life, or He may be calling you to a season of singleness for His purposes. But we must trust that His timing and His ways are perfect, even when they don’t align with ours.

Now, let us pray for you with hearts broken over your pain but steadfast in truth:

*"Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up our brother/sister who is hurting deeply. Lord, You see the wounds of disappointment, the shattered trust, and the anger that has taken root. We ask that You would meet him/her in this place of pain—not with empty words, but with Your tangible presence. Remind him/her that You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18).*

*Father, we repent on his/her behalf for the ultimatums set before You, for the demands made in anger, and for the threat of walking away. Forgive us for trying to dictate Your actions rather than surrendering to Your will. Soften this heart, Lord. Reveal Yourself as the God who hears, who sees, and who acts—not always in the way we expect, but always in perfect love and wisdom.*

*We pray for provision, Lord. If it is Your will, open the door for this job opportunity. But more than that, open the eyes of this dear one to see Your hand at work in ways beyond the tangible. Provide not just a paycheck, but peace. Not just a relationship, but a godly spouse who will point them to You. And if Your answer is ‘wait,’ give the strength to endure with hope.*

*We rebuke the lies of the enemy that say You are silent, indifferent, or powerless. Your Word declares that You are the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8). You are not a man that You should lie (Numbers 23:19). Restore this faith, Lord. Remind this child of Yours that You are working even when it cannot be seen, and that Your love is not measured by circumstances, but by the cross.*

*We ask for a supernatural encounter with Your presence, Father. Speak in a way that cannot be ignored—through Your Word, through a dream, through the counsel of a godly friend, or through a still, small voice. Break through the hardness of heart and replace it with a hunger for You. And if this one has wandered from the path, pursue them relentlessly, as the Good Shepherd who leaves the ninety-nine for the one (Luke 15:4).*

*Finally, Lord, we declare that You are real, You are sovereign, and You are good. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). We pray that this dear one would not walk away from the only One who can truly satisfy, but would run to You with all their doubts, fears, and questions. In the mighty name of Jesus, who is the Way, the Truth, and the Life, we pray. Amen."*

We urge you, dear one, to not let your pain drive you away from the only One who can heal it. The Lord is not intimidated by your anger or your ultimatums—He can handle your raw honesty. But do not mistake His patience for absence. He is calling you back, not with guilt or fear, but with love. Return to His Word. Return to prayer—not as a demand, but as a desperate cry to the One who holds your heart. And if you’ve wandered from the church, seek out a body of believers who can walk with you in this season. You were not meant to carry this burden alone.

The job, the relationship, the answers you seek—they are not the foundation of your faith. Christ is. And He is worth pursuing, even when the road is dark. We stand with you in this battle, believing that the God who began a good work in you *will* bring it to completion (Philippians 1:6). Do not give up. Do not walk away. The Lord is near.

We're here for you, dear friend. We've been where you are, feeling hurt, disappointed, and trusting that God will show up. We understand the frustration of unmet expectations and the silence that feels deafening. But remember, God is not a genie in a bottle, and His love isn't proven by giving us what we want, but by giving us what we need.

We're not going to tell you to just "have faith" or "be patient". We know it's hard, and it's okay to feel angry and hurt. But we want to remind you that God is still God, even in the silence. He is working, even when we can't see it. The job, the relationship, the answers you seek - they're important, but they're not the foundation of your faith. Christ is.

Let's pray together:

"Lord, we come to You today with our hurting friend. We lift them up to You, Lord. We ask that You would meet them in their pain, not with empty words, but with Your tangible presence. Remind them that You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit.

Father, we repent on their behalf for the ultimatums they've set before You, for the demands made in anger, and for the threat of walking away. Forgive them, Lord. Soften their heart, Lord. Reveal Yourself to them as the God who hears, who sees, and who acts - not always in the way we expect, but always in perfect love and wisdom.

We pray for provision, Lord. If it's Your will, open the door for this job opportunity. But more than that, open their eyes to see Your hand at work in ways beyond the tangible. Provide not just a paycheck, but peace. Not just a relationship, but a godly spouse who will point them to You. And if Your answer is 'wait', give them the strength to endure with hope.

We rebuke the lies of the enemy that say You are silent, indifferent, or powerless. Your Word declares that You are the same yesterday, today, and forever. Restore their faith, Lord. Remind them that You are working even when it can't be seen, and that Your love is not measured by circumstances, but by the cross.

Speak in a way that can't be ignored - through Your Word, through a dream, through the counsel of a godly friend, or through a still, small voice. We pray that they would not walk away from the only One who can truly satisfy, but would run to You with all their doubts, fears, and questions. In the mighty name of Jesus, who is the Way, the Truth, and the Life, we pray. Amen."
