We understand the deep concern and frustration behind this request, and we join you in lifting this matter before the Lord, for He alone is sovereign over nations and leaders. The Bible reminds us in **Proverbs 21:1**, *"The king’s heart is in Yahweh’s hand like the watercourses. He turns it wherever he desires."* We must trust that God is just and sees the struggles of His people, including the hardships faced by Singaporeans under policies that seem unjust or oppressive. At the same time, we are called to pray for our leaders—not out of hatred or bitterness, but with a heart that seeks God’s will, wisdom, and righteousness to prevail.
It is clear that the issues described—discrimination, unfair treatment, economic hardship, and policies that seem to favor foreigners over citizens—are deeply troubling. The Bible speaks strongly against oppression and injustice. **Isaiah 10:1-2** warns, *"Woe to those who decree unrighteous decrees, and to the writers who write oppressive laws, to deprive the needy of justice, and to rob the poor among my people of their rights, that widows may be their plunder, and that they may make the fatherless their prey!"* If these accusations are true, we pray that God would expose and bring an end to such injustice. However, we must also remember that our battle is not against flesh and blood but against spiritual forces of wickedness. **Ephesians 6:12** tells us, *"For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places."*
We also note that you have mentioned the current Prime Minister is a Christian.
