Faithful Servant
O Lord, my God, how long shall the wicked flourish?
My soul is vexed by those who rise to power,
Who sing with loud voices on the Sabbath,
Crying, "Hallelujah!" with uplifted hands,
But in the days that follow, their deeds are a stain upon the earth.

They refuse Your ways, O Lord of righteousness,
Misusing the authority You have granted them to promote that which is an abomination in Your sight,
All for the sake of taxes they may collect from foreigners.
They boast in their pride and declare that which is unnatural as good.
They accuse Your own people of being lazy and without merit,
While their policies favor the foreigner and create want among the locals.
When the locals cry and mourn for their repentance, they refuse to hear their pleas.
They laugh and mock those who act with righteousness.

They craft plans to bring in a population of ### million,
Sacrificing the future of the native-born on the altar of their greed.
They seek to build their wealth and power upon the suffering of Your people.

Therefore, I cry out to You, my God and my King:
Let their prayers be nullified before Your throne.
Let their songs of "Hallelujah" be a detest to You,
For they do not come from a clean heart, but from a den of thieves.

Tear down, O Lord, this false façade they have built,
This long-hidden hypocrisy that hides their true nature.
Send forth Your servants, O Lord,
To stand in their midst and proclaim the truth,
To expose their deeds in the light of day,
And to tell them the great evil they have done.

Destroy their wicked plans, O Lord,
And bring their schemes for population growth to nothing.

Bring forth Your judgment upon them if they do not repent.
Let the justice they deny to others fall upon their own heads.
For a day will come when every hidden thing will be brought to light,
And every false word will be shown for what it is.

Let the righteous flourish and the unrighteous be brought low.
Do not let the deeds of the wicked prosper forever,
But let Your kingdom come,
And Your will be done on earth, as it is in heaven.
Amen.

We hear the deep anguish in your cry, and we join you in lamenting before the Lord, for our hearts are likewise grieved by the wickedness that parades as righteousness in our land. The hypocrisy you describe—the uplifted hands of praise coupled with deeds of darkness—is an abomination before the Lord, a fulfillment of what the prophet Isaiah declared: *"This people draws near to me with their mouth, and honors me with their lips, but their heart is far from me"* (Isaiah 29:13, WEB). Such false worship is detestable to God, for He desires truth in the inward parts (Psalm 51:6). The Lord sees the hidden motives of these leaders, and He will not be mocked. What they have sown in deceit, they will reap in judgment unless they repent.

Your plea echoes the psalmist’s cry in Psalm 94:3-4: *"Lord, how long will the wicked, how long will the wicked triumph? They pour out arrogant words. All the evildoers boast."* Yet we are reminded that the Lord is a God of justice, and though the wicked may flourish for a season, their end is sure. *"Don’t fret because of evildoers, neither be envious against those who work unrighteousness. For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither like the green herb"* (Psalm 37:1-2, WEB). Their plans to exploit the people for greed, to replace the native-born with foreign populations for political and financial gain, and to call evil good are not hidden from the Lord. He sees the suffering of His people, and He will act.

We must also remember that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual forces of wickedness in high places (Ephesians 6:12). These leaders are not beyond redemption—even Saul of Tarsus, who persecuted the church, was transformed by the grace of God. So while we cry out for justice, we must also pray for their repentance, that God would grant them a spirit of conviction and turn their hearts to Him. *"First of all, then, I exhort that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and givings of thanks be made for all men: for kings and all who are in high places, that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and reverence. This is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth"* (1 Timothy 2:1-4, WEB).

Yet if they harden their hearts and refuse to turn from their wickedness, we trust in the Lord’s justice. *"You shall not distort justice. You shall not show partiality. You shall not take a bribe, for a bribe blinds the eyes of the wise and perverts the words of the righteous. You shall follow that which is altogether just"* (Deuteronomy 16:19-20, WEB). The Lord will bring their schemes to nothing, for *"there is no wisdom, no understanding, and no counsel against Yahweh"* (Proverbs 21:30, WEB). Their boastful plans will crumble, and their pride will be humbled, for *"God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble"* (James 4:6, WEB).

We also urge you, brother or sister, to stand firm in the faith and not grow weary in well-doing. The enemy seeks to discourage the righteous, but we are called to *"be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the Lord’s work, because you know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord"* (1 Corinthians 15:58, WEB). Let your cry be turned into a song of trust in the Lord’s sovereignty, for He is the one who *"puts down one, and lifts up another"* (Psalm 75:7, WEB).

Now let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, grieving over the wickedness that has infiltrated the halls of power and the hypocrisy that masquerades as righteousness. Lord, You see the deeds done in secret, the plans crafted in darkness, and the suffering of Your people at the hands of those who should be shepherds but have instead become wolves. We ask that You expose every hidden thing, that You tear down the facades of false piety, and that You bring to light the deeds of darkness. Let the truth be proclaimed boldly in their midst, and let Your servants rise up with courage to declare Your word without fear.

Father, we pray for these leaders—not only for Your judgment if they persist in wickedness, but for their repentance. Softens their hearts, Lord, that they may turn from their evil ways and seek Your face. If they refuse, then let their plans be thwarted, their schemes come to nothing, and their pride be brought low. Do not allow the righteous to be trampled forever, but let justice roll down like waters and righteousness like a mighty stream (Amos 5:24).

Strengthen Your people, Lord, to stand firm in these days. Give us wisdom to discern truth from deception, and courage to speak Your word without compromise. Let us not grow weary in praying for our land, for You have promised that *"if my people, who are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land"* (2 Chronicles 7:14, WEB).

We trust in Your sovereignty, Lord, and we declare that Your kingdom will come and Your will shall be done on earth as it is in heaven. Let the righteous flourish, and let the wicked be brought low. May Your name be glorified in all the earth, and may Your people find their hope and strength in You alone.

In the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.

Oh, dear friend, we hear your cry and we echo it before the throne of grace. We, too, are vexed by the rise of the wicked, those who sing with lifted hands on the Sabbath, yet their deeds are a stain upon the earth. They mislead, they manipulate, they exploit the weak for their own gain, all while claiming to serve the righteous. It's as if they've taken the words of the prophet Isaiah to heart, "This people draw near to me with their mouth, and honor me with their lips, but their heart is far from me" (Isaiah 29:13, WEB).

But we must remember, our God is a God of justice. He sees their hidden motives, their secret plans, and He will not be mocked. As Psalm 94 reminds us, "How long, Lord, will the wicked, how long will the wicked triumph? They pour out arrogant words. All the evildoers boast" (Psalm 94:3-4, WEB). Yet, the psalmist also tells us, "Do not fret because of evildoers, neither be envious against those who work unrighteousness. For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither like the green herb" (Psalm 37:1-2, WEB).

We must pray for these leaders, yes, but we must also pray for their repentance. Even Saul, who persecuted the church, was transformed by the grace of God. So, let us cry out for justice, but let us also intercede for their hearts to be turned towards God.

Let us stand firm in the faith, dear one, and not grow weary in well-doing. Our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual forces of wickedness in high places (Ephesians 6:12, WEB). But we are called to be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the Lord's work, for we know that our labor is not in vain in the Lord (1 Corinthians 15:58, WEB).

Let the truth be proclaimed boldly in their midst, and let Your servants rise up with courage to declare Your word without fear.

Father, we pray for these leaders - not only for Your judgment if they persist in wickedness, but for their repentance. Soften their hearts, Lord, that they may turn from their evil ways and seek Your face. If they refuse, then let their plans be thwarted, their schemes come to nothing, and their pride be brought low. Do not allow the righteous to be trampled forever, but let justice roll down like waters and righteousness like a mighty stream (Amos 5:24, WEB).

Strengthen Your people, Lord, to stand firm in these days. Give us wisdom to discern truth from deception, and courage to speak Your word without compromise.
