Faithful Servant
O Lord, my God, how long shall the wicked flourish?
My soul is vexed by those who rise to power,
Who sing with loud voices on the Sabbath,
Crying, "Hallelujah!" with uplifted hands,
But in the days that follow, their deeds are a stain upon the earth.
They refuse Your ways, O Lord of righteousness,
Misusing the authority You have granted them to promote that which is an abomination in Your sight,
All for the sake of taxes they may collect from foreigners.
They boast in their pride and declare that which is unnatural as good.
They accuse Your own people of being lazy and without merit,
While their policies favor the foreigner and create want among the locals.
When the locals cry and mourn for their repentance, they refuse to hear their pleas.
They laugh and mock those who act with righteousness.
They craft plans to bring in a population of ### million,
Sacrificing the future of the native-born on the altar of their greed.
They seek to build their wealth and power upon the suffering of Your people.
Therefore, I cry out to You, my God and my King:
Let their prayers be nullified before Your throne.
Let their songs of "Hallelujah" be a detest to You,
For they do not come from a clean heart, but from a den of thieves.
Tear down, O Lord, this false façade they have built,
This long-hidden hypocrisy that hides their true nature.
Send forth Your servants, O Lord,
To stand in their midst and proclaim the truth,
To expose their deeds in the light of day,
And to tell them the great evil they have done.
Destroy their wicked plans, O Lord,
And bring their schemes for population growth to nothing.
Bring forth Your judgment upon them if they do not repent.
Let the justice they deny to others fall upon their own heads.
For a day will come when every hidden thing will be brought to light,
And every false word will be shown for what it is.
Let the righteous flourish and the unrighteous be brought low.
Do not let the deeds of the wicked prosper forever,
But let Your kingdom come,
And Your will be done on earth, as it is in heaven.
Amen.
