Faithful Servant
I am concerned about the growing trend of Singaporeans prioritizing Johor-based businesses while neglecting our own Singapore businesses. This shift is causing serious harm to our economy, driving local companies toward bankruptcy and threatening the jobs of Singaporeans — seen by some as a plot of revenge for the government’s decision to bring in foreigners to work in Singapore. Even with the distribution of CDC vouchers, the effect is only temporary. Once the vouchers are used up, many Singaporeans will simply fall back to shopping and spending in Johor, further draining revenue from our own local businesses. To protect our economic stability, Singapore must rely solely on a 100% Singaporean workforce and cease the issuance of all foreign work passes. All businesses in Singapore should be owned, operated, and staffed by Singaporeans, ensuring that profits, opportunities, and skills remain within our borders. If it is not a full 100% Singapore workforce, the silence boycott will happen because the current situation is that company over favor foreigner at the expense of Singaporean. And as a result, Singaporeans have no work but all those foreigners have work and Singaporeans are treated unfairly often unfair dismissals or work and don't pay wages situation and given contract jobs whilst foreigners are given permanent jobs. If this trend of supporting foreign businesses over local ones continues, our domestic enterprises will collapse, and the livelihoods of our people will be further endangered. We must take immediate steps to redirect support toward businesses by Singaporeans, for Singaporeans. AND IF IT CANNOT BE DONE TO 100% SINGAPOREAN WORKFORCE THIS GOES THE BUSINESS OF SINGAPORE - BANKRUPTCY. As Singaporeans are moving away from those companies which hired foreigners even one.

We understand your concerns about the economic challenges facing Singapore and the impact on local businesses and jobs. We will pray for wisdom and guidance for the leaders and citizens of Singapore, and we encourage you to seek God's will in this matter, trusting in His provision and sovereignty.

Firstly, we must remember that our trust should be in God, not in human efforts or economic strategies alone. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." While it is important to support local businesses and ensure fair treatment of workers, we must also remember that God is ultimately in control.

Regarding the treatment of foreign workers, we are called to love and show compassion to all people, regardless of their nationality. Leviticus 19:33-34 says, "If a stranger lives as a foreigner with you in your land, you shall not do him wrong. The stranger who lives as a foreigner with you shall be to you as the native-born among you, and you shall love him as yourself; for you lived as foreigners in the land of Egypt. I am Yahweh your God." While it is crucial to prioritize the well-being of Singaporeans, we must also ensure that foreign workers are treated fairly and with respect.

We must also be cautious about harboring resentment or bitterness towards the government or foreign workers. Ephesians 4:31-32 tells us, "Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander, be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you."

Let us pray for this situation:

Heavenly Father, we lift up the nation of Singapore to You, asking for Your wisdom and guidance for its leaders and citizens. Lord, we pray for a spirit of unity and cooperation among all people in Singapore, that they may work together for the common good. We ask that You provide for the needs of local businesses and workers, and that You grant wisdom to those in authority to make decisions that will benefit all people fairly and justly.

Father, we pray that You soften the hearts of those who may harbor resentment or bitterness, and that You fill them with Your love and compassion. Help us to remember that our ultimate trust should be in You, and that You are sovereign over all things.

We pray for a spirit of generosity and support among the people of Singapore, that they may choose to invest in and patronize local businesses, strengthening the economy and providing jobs for their fellow citizens. We ask that You bless the efforts of those who seek to build up and support their community.

Finally, Lord, we pray that You draw each person in Singapore to Yourself, that they may come to know Your love and salvation through Jesus Christ. We ask that You work in the hearts of all people, drawing them to repentance and faith in You.

We pray all these things in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who alone can bring true peace, unity, and prosperity. Amen.

We encourage you to continue praying for Singapore and its people, trusting in God's provision and guidance. We also urge you to show love and compassion to all people, regardless of their nationality, and to seek ways to support and encourage local businesses and workers. May God bless you as you seek to honor Him in all things.

We hear your concern about the shift in Singaporeans' spending habits towards Johor-based businesses, and the potential impact on our local economy and jobs. It's indeed worrying, but let's remember that God is in control. In Proverbs 21:1, it says, "The king's heart is like channels of water in the hand of the Lord; He turns it wherever He wishes." Let's trust that God can influence the hearts of our leaders and fellow Singaporeans.

We should also remember to love our neighbors, including foreign workers. In Leviticus 19:33-34, we're told to love the foreigner among us as ourselves. While we want to support local businesses, let's do so in a way that's fair and respectful to all.

Let's pray together:

Dear Lord, we lift up Singapore to You. We ask for Your wisdom to guide our leaders and citizens. Help us to make decisions that benefit all, including our local businesses and foreign workers. Fill our hearts with love and compassion, and help us to support and encourage one another. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Let's continue to pray for Singapore and support local businesses, always remembering to love and respect all people. God is in control, and He will guide us if we trust in Him.

I prayed that God in Jesus' name will answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. Thank You Jesus!!!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We want to thank you for allowing us to lift this heavy burden for ### and its people before the Lord in prayer. The economic struggles and deep concerns you’ve shared about the shifting priorities of consumers, the unfair treatment of local workers, and the threat to ### businesses weigh heavily on our hearts. It has been our privilege to stand with you in agreement, asking God for His wisdom to guide leaders, His provision to sustain local enterprises, and His justice to protect the livelihoods of His people in ###.

We know these are not just economic issues but spiritual battles that require divine intervention. As we’ve prayed, we’ve asked the Lord to soften hearts—both of those in authority and of the people—to turn back toward supporting their own communities with integrity and unity. We’ve also pleaded for God to expose any hidden motives that may be driving this trend, whether rooted in frustration, revenge, or simply misplaced priorities, and to replace them with a spirit of cooperation, fairness, and national loyalty that honors Him.

If you’ve seen even the smallest shift in this situation—whether in policy, public sentiment, or the protection of local jobs—we encourage you to share a praise report with us. Sometimes God moves in ways that are subtle at first, and your testimony could ignite hope in others who are praying for ###’s future. If the struggle persists or worsens, we urge you to post an update so we can continue to contend in prayer alongside you. The Lord is not indifferent to the cries of His people, and we believe He is at work, even when we cannot yet see the full picture.

Let us also remind you that while we pray for systemic change, God calls each of us to be faithful in our own spheres—whether that means intentionally supporting ### businesses, speaking truth with grace, or trusting Him in seasons of uncertainty. May He grant you peace as you seek His will for your nation, and may you feel His presence strongly as you wait on Him.

We remain committed to praying for ###’s economic stability, for fair opportunities for its citizens, and for a revival of unity that puts the well-being of its people above all else. May God bless you richly as you continue to seek His face and trust in His sovereignty over this nation through Jesus Christ our Lord.
