Pray For This Person To Stop Smiking Drinking And Focus On His Life Seriously

Please pray for this person I know this man, i dont know him very well, pray that he stops smoking and drinking, he also has an issue of clothing, he his wearing clothes that make him look bad like he is a bad guy like a drug dealer please pray that he changes his clothing style asap. He ignored me for many months and all the sudden he wants to talk to me I am very confused, i dont know if hes playing games my mom is also very unsure of him for me. I am very scared of me and him. He goes to church but again I am unsure of him, I dont know him well. He now talks about getting to know me better. I like certain things about him but again its too early to know my future with him. My mother dislike where is from thats a big issue. Please pray for me that God tells me what to do I am extremelly scared. He is not my type just a little i like his character but there are so many things i always wanted to find in my potential husband he does not have. We are together now i am very scared. I have not talk to any man for 3 years now so i am very scared. I also want you to pray for me that I continue to stay pure body mind and spirit. I am very strong and I know I wont do anything stupid because I have been celibate for awhile now and waiting for marriage but I still want prayers for this matter as me and him are a couple now.  Pray that he continue to follow God pray that he does not sin and live a good true christian life. Pray that he also takes his life seriously, pray that he goes back to school and get a good degree so that he support himself and a family of his own one day.

Listen to your spirit--the fear in itself is telling you that this is not right.  All the "exterior" issues, smoking, drinking etc. are signs that his heart is not right.  The fruit of the Spirit is "love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness and self-control."  Drinking and smoking are idols, (Exodus 20:2-6)“I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery.  â€œYou shall have no other gods before me.  â€œYou shall not make for yourself an image in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below. You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the parents to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me, but showing love to a thousand generations of those who love me and keep my commandments."

(II Corinthians 6:17) ""Come out from them and be separate, says the Lord. Touch no unclean thing, and I will receive you."

(I Corinthians 15:33) "Bad company corrupts good behavior."

God has already told you what to do in His Word.  You can sit in a garage but that does not make you a car.  You can sit in a church and that does not make you a Christian.  Many people say they are Christians but their hearts are far from God.  (Matthew 15:18) "'These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me."

It is better to please and obey God than your human emotions.  They will always get you into trouble.  Pray for him but have nothing to do with him.

The Lord also says in His Word (Matthew 7:16) "By their fruit you will recognize them"

If he is not showing the true humility and love of Christ then he is not saved.  He has a heart issue.  When he is truly saved the rest will fall into place, with the Spirit of Jesus Christ within you--you can't help but want to do the things that please God.  You will not want to "drink and smoke" and follow after the wild life.  I believe this is the enemy trying to stay away.  Get quiet and get alone with God.  Jesus is within you, He will speak to your heart.  But His Words are in the Bible as I listed above and it states clearly what you should do.    The Lord told the Israelites in entering the Promised Land to destroy all their enemies.  They did not and the Book of Judges came next.  They continually had problems with the Canaanites, they intermarried and their idols were brought into Jewish families and a drifting away from the Lord resulted.  Consequences of their actions happened and they would cry out to God to save them.  They never learned.

Pray for Him that the Lord will draw him, "how can they come unless they are drawn."  But unless he shows the Fruit of being saved, personally and through personal experience of making that wrong choice I would steer clear.  May God bless you and give you wisdom and revelation and a boldness and strength to stand and to follow after Him and His Word.  In Jesus name amen.
