We are truly sorry to hear about the situation you are facing with your former employer. It is disheartening to experience deceit and injustice, especially when it affects your livelihood. We are called to trust in God's justice and to conduct ourselves with integrity, even in the face of adversity.
Firstly, we must remember that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the world powers of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Ephesians 6:12 WEB. We are to put on the whole armor of God, that we may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
In regards to the deceit you are encountering, we are reminded that lying is a sin condemned by God. Leviticus 19:11 WEB states, You shall not steal. You shall not lie. You shall not deceive one another. And Proverbs 6:16-19 WEB lists seven things that are an abomination to God, including A false witness who speaks lies, and one who sows discord among brothers.
As you prepare for mediation, we encourage you to speak the truth in love, as instructed in Ephesians 4:15 WEB. It is important to present your case honestly and to trust in God's justice. We are also called to pray for those who persecute us, as Jesus taught in Matthew 5:44 WEB, But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up this situation to Your throne of grace. We pray for justice and truth to prevail in this mediation. Lord, expose the lies and bring to light the truth. Guide and strengthen as preparations are made for the mediation. Help to speak the truth in love, and trust in Your justice.
We also pray for the former employer, that their hearts may be convicted of the lies they have spoken, and that they may turn from their ways and seek Your forgiveness. We pray that You would soften their hearts and draw them to Yourself this day.
Lord, we ask that You would work all things together for good, according to Your purpose. We trust in Your promise that no weapon that is formed against us will prosper.
Father, we ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, and Savior.
It is only by the name of Jesus that we are able to come to God. We have no access otherwise, and there is no other name by which we may be saved. "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" (Acts 4:12). We have hope, peace, joy, love, and life by believing in Jesus Christ. It is through believing in Jesus' death on the cross for the forgiveness of our sins and his resurrection three days later that we are now children of God.
