We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up the leaders of nations, specifically the Senior Prime Minister of this land. Father God, we acknowledge that all authority is established by You, and those in leadership are accountable to You first and foremost. "The king’s heart is in Yahweh’s hand like the watercourses. He turns it wherever he desires." (Proverbs 21:1) We pray that You would turn this leader’s heart toward righteousness, justice, and wisdom that comes from above.
Lord, we see the weight of sin and its consequences in this situation—favoritism, neglect of the people You have entrusted to this leader’s care, and the promotion of policies that harm both the moral and economic well-being of the nation. The Scripture warns, "Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a disgrace to any people." (Proverbs 14:34) We rebuke the spirit of partiality and injustice that has taken root in these decisions. The Word declares, "Do not pervert justice; do not show partiality to the poor or favoritism to the great, but judge your neighbor fairly." (Leviticus 19:15) We ask You to expose and dismantle any ungodly alliances, corruption, or misuse of public resources that have led to the suffering of the local people.
We are deeply grieved by the repeal of laws that once stood as a bulwark against sexual immorality. The removal of 377A has opened the door wider to sin, and we see the fruits of it in the rise of perversion, exploitation, and moral decay. The Bible is clear: "Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor men who have sex with men nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God." (1 Corinthians 6:9-10) We pray for a revival of holiness and a return to Your standards in this nation. We ask You to raise up voices of truth and conviction to challenge the normalization of sin and to protect the vulnerable from exploitation.
Father, we lift up the economic struggles of the people, where locals are being displaced by foreign labor policies that favor outsiders over citizens. The Scripture commands, "Do not mistreat or oppress a foreigner, for you were foreigners in Egypt. Do not take advantage of the widow or the fatherless." (Exodus 22:21-22) While we are called to show compassion to foreigners, we are also called to prioritize the well-being of our own people. The neglect of locals in favor of foreign workers, the proliferation of exploitative industries like illicit massage parlors, and the misuse of public funds to build facilities for foreigners while citizens suffer—these are injustices that cry out to You. We ask You to intervene, Lord. "For the Lord loves the just and will not forsake his faithful ones. Wrongdoers will be completely destroyed; the offspring of the wicked will perish." (Psalm 37:28)
We pray for repentance in this leader’s heart. May he recognize the weight of his actions and the harm they have caused. "If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land." (2 Chronicles 7:14) We ask You to bring conviction, not condemnation, and to lead him to a place of humility and change. May he seek Your wisdom above the counsel of men and turn away from policies that bring shame to the nation.
Lord, we also pray for the people of this land. In the midst of these challenges, may they turn to You for hope and strength. "Blessed is the nation whose God is Yahweh, the people whom he has chosen for his own inheritance." (Psalm 33:12) We ask You to raise up godly leaders who will stand for justice, righteousness, and the welfare of all citizens. May the Church in this nation rise up with boldness to be a light in the darkness, speaking truth in love and demonstrating Your love through action.
We declare that no plan of the enemy will prosper in this land. "No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that accuses you in judgment. This is the heritage of Yahweh’s servants, and their righteousness is of me," says Yahweh. (Isaiah 54:17) We bind every spirit of corruption, immorality, and injustice, and we loose the spirit of truth, righteousness, and justice in Jesus’ name. May Your will be done in this nation, and may Your name be glorified.
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can come before You and the only name by which men can be saved. "Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved." (Acts 4:12) We trust in Your power to bring transformation, healing, and restoration to this land. Amen.
