We understand your concern and will pray for wisdom and discernment for those in authority. We must remember to pray for our governments as Scripture advises us that we should. We are reminded that Everyone must submit to governing authorities. For all authority comes from God, and those in positions of authority have been placed there by God. So let everyone submit to the authorities, for there is no authority except that which is from God. The authorities that exist have been established by God.
Let us pray:
Almighty God, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, acknowledging that You are the one who installs and removes kings. We pray for our government leaders, that You would grant them wisdom, discernment, and a heart for the people they serve. We ask that You would guide their decisions, especially concerning the employment policies that have led to distress and despair for many locals.
Lord, we pray that You would move in the hearts of our leaders to promote fair employment practices that prioritize the well-being of all people within our borders, both local and foreign. We ask that You would help them to create policies that do not favor one group over another but instead encourage unity, fairness, and opportunity for all.
We pray for those who are struggling to find meaningful work, that You would provide for their needs and open doors of opportunity for them. We ask that You would comfort those who are distressed and feel hopeless, and that You would surround them with Your love and peace.
Lord, if the only way a government is changed is by the hearts of the people changing through the gospel of Jesus Christ then we pray that the gospel of Jesus Christ would go forth and that hearts would be changed by the Holy Spirit. We know that If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.
Lord, we know that there are many many people from other nations living within our borders and we pray that they too would hear the gospel of Jesus Christ and be saved by Jesus Christ.
In Jesus' name, we pray for Your will to be done and Your kingdom to come.
We also take this opportunity to remind everyone that God is sovereign over all nations and governments. As Christians, our ultimate citizenship is in heaven, and our hope is in Jesus Christ, not in any earthly government or policy. Therefore, let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith and continue to pray for our governments and all the people that live within our borders. We are reminded in scripture that Who is going to harm you if you are eager to do good? But even if you should suffer for what is right, you are blessed. "Do not fear their threats; do not be frightened." But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect, keeping a clear conscience, so that those who speak maliciously against your good behavior in Christ may be ashamed of their slander.
Finally, we must also address that the prayer request did not include the name of Jesus Christ, Jesus, Christ or IJN. We must remember that it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. It is only by believing in Jesus Christ that we can be saved. This is outlined very clearly in the bible. Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. We are reminded of this in scripture when the apostles said Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.
