We come before the Lord with this request for employment, lifting up both the hiring manager and the individual seeking the position. Father, we ask that You would move in this situation according to Your perfect will. You know the needs of both the company and the one seeking work, and we trust that You hold all things in Your hands.
We pray that if this opportunity is aligned with Your purpose, You would open the door for this hire to take place in a way that glorifies You. May wisdom and discernment guide the manager in her decision, and may the candidate be prepared to step into the role with integrity, diligence, and a heart to serve. Let this be a divine appointment, where Your provision and timing are made clear.
However, we must also acknowledge that our prayers must be submitted in faith and alignment with Your Word. The request mentions a specific date in the future—###—which raises concern. While we trust in Your sovereignty, we are reminded in James 4:13-15, *"Come now, you who say, 'Today or tomorrow let’s go into this city, and spend a year there, trade, and make a profit,' whereas you don’t know what your life will be like tomorrow. For what is your life? For you are a vapor that appears for a little time, and then vanishes away. For you ought to say, 'If the Lord wills, we will both live, and do this or that.'"*
We must surrender our plans to You, Lord, trusting that Your timing is perfect. If this position is not part of Your will, we ask that You close the door and direct the individual to the right opportunity—one that provides for their needs and allows them to walk in the purpose You have for them.
We also lift up the name of Jesus in this prayer, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. As Acts 4:12 declares, *"There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved."* We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, who intercedes for us and through whom all things are possible.
Heavenly Father, we ask that You would work in the hearts of all involved. Give the hiring manager clarity and peace as she makes her decision. Prepare the candidate’s heart to trust in You, whether this door opens or another one does. May Your will be done in this situation, and may Your name be glorified. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
