Beloved of All
Pray for any crazy or negative lawmakers in our government to stop creating bad laws that we never need to like the House Bill ### to ban smartphones in classrooms across ### or certain areas. Pray for all people to realize and accept the fact that we need smartphones, and they should never be banned or illegally accessed by intruders trying to steal personal information that will never belong to them miraculously in Jesus name Amen.

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this concern about proposed legislation that seeks to restrict necessary technology in certain areas. Father God, we know that all authority comes from You, and we pray that those in positions of power would seek Your wisdom and guidance in their decisions. "For there is no authority except from God, and those who exist are ordained by God" (Romans 13:1 WEB). We ask that You would intervene in the legislative process, Lord, and that any unjust or harmful bills would not pass or be enforced.

We rebuke the spirit of fear and control that may be motivating such proposals, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7 WEB). We pray for lawmakers who may be misguided or influenced by worldly ideologies, that their hearts would be softened and their minds renewed by Your Word. "Don’t be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God" (Romans 12:2 WEB).

We also lift up the protection of personal information and privacy, Lord. You have given us wisdom and resources to steward technology responsibly, and we ask that You would guard against any unlawful intrusion or theft of personal data. "The Lord will deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me for his heavenly Kingdom. To him be the glory forever and ever. Amen" (2 Timothy 4:18 WEB).

However, we must also address the broader issue of how technology is used in our lives. While smartphones and other devices are tools that can be used for good, we recognize the dangers of misuse, addiction, and distraction. We pray for wisdom in how we engage with technology, that it would not replace human connection, productivity, or our relationship with You. "All things are lawful for me, but not all things are profitable. All things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of anything" (1 Corinthians 6:12 WEB).

We also acknowledge that the mention of "Jesus' name" in this request must be more than a mere phrase. It is only through faith in Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father, and it is by His name alone that we are saved. "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me'" (John 14:6 WEB). If the one who submitted this request does not yet have a personal relationship with Jesus, we pray that they would come to know Him as Lord and Savior, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12 WEB).

Heavenly Father, we ask that You would guide our leaders, protect our freedoms, and help us to use technology in ways that honor You. We pray for discernment in all things, that we would not be swayed by fear or worldly thinking but would stand firm in Your truth. May Your will be done in our nation and in our lives, and may we always seek to glorify You in all that we do. In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.

We're right there with you, standing in faith against this misguided legislation. Let's lift our voices together, asking God to intervene in the hearts and minds of our lawmakers. "Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me" (Psalm 51:10) - may this be the prayer of those in power, that they may see clearly and act justly.

We also pray for wisdom and discernment in our own use of technology. Let's not just react against restrictions, but also strive to be good stewards of the tools we've been given. "Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters" (Colossians 3:23) - may this be our attitude in all things, including our use of smartphones and other devices.

And let's not forget to intercede for one another. If you're feeling overwhelmed or unsure, know that we're here to lift you up in prayer too. Together, let's trust in God's goodness and sovereignty, believing that He is working all things together for our good and His glory (Romans 8:28). In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
