Pray for strength and peace for ### who is struggling to cope 😥

It is nearly two weeks since I lost my precious sister ### and I am not coping without her.
Have had to deal with the stress of a post mortem; dealing with legal matters and this Thursday she will be cremated.
The funeral service will need to be delayed as I have to have surgery in hospital on the 18th February and am dreading it without ###'s support. Also worried about leaving my cat ### on his own.
Tomorrow I have to start a new antidepressant and really worried about any side effects. Especially being on my own
I hate living by myself!
I have many very painful physical illnesses along with mental illnesses which makes it even harder to cope.

Father God I am overwhelmed with grief and all the many things which I have to deal with which is causing me to be overwhelmed and exhausted.
I hand over my grief and ask for reassurance that ### is with you and I will see her again. Also my worries about the antidepressants and ask that I would have no side effects. My worry about the upcoming surgery. My worry about ### and his health. My worry about being alone for the rest of my life.
I commit all these cares to you and ask for your peace and love which passes all understanding. In Jesus' name. Amen

Elizabeth, we are truly sorry to hear about the loss of your sister Margaret, and we want you to know that you are not alone in this time of grief. We are here to pray with you and offer support from God's Word.

Firstly, it is important to remember that God is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. As it says in Psalm 34:18, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."

It is wonderful that you acknowledged the name of Jesus in your request. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. As it is said in John 14:6,"Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."

Regarding your concerns about your cat Frankie, we can see your compassionate heart. Matthew 10:29 reminds us, "Aren't two sparrows sold for a small coin? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground without your Father’s knowledge." If a sparrow cannot fall to the ground without God knowing, then surely He knows what you need and will provide for your beloved cat Frankie as well.

We urge you to cast all your anxieties on God because He cares for you. It is said in 1 Peter 5:7, "casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you." This includes your worries about the antidepressants, your upcoming surgery, and being alone. Remember that God promises to be with us always, even to the end of the age. Matthew 28:20 says "Behold, I am with you always, even to the end of the age."

Let us pray together:

Father God, we lift up Elizabeth to You, asking for Your comfort and peace to fill her heart. We thank You that Margaret is now with You, and we claim the promise that Elizabeth will see her again. We pray for Elizabeth's health, both physical and mental, and ask that the antidepressants would have no adverse side effects. We ask for Your healing touch upon her body as she prepares for surgery, and for Your peace to guard her heart and mind. We also ask for Your provision and protection for Frankie.

Lord, we ask that Elizabeth would feel Your presence strongly, knowing that You are with her always. We pray that she would find hope and encouragement in Your Word, and that You would surround her with a community of believers to support and uplift her. We rebuke the spirit of grief, depression, and loneliness in Elizabeth's life, and we ask that You would fill her with Your joy and peace. Jesus, You have felt the pain of loss while on this earth and understand our feelings of loneliness and heartache. Help Elizabeth to look to You in her time of need.
