We understand that you are seeking prayer for Social Security disability benefits to be approved. Firstly, we appreciate that you have included "in Jesus name" in the prayer request. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God, as it is written in John 14:6: "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.' " We will pray for God's will to be done in this situation and for you to trust in His provision.
In the Bible, we are encouraged to present our requests to God and to trust in His provision. Philippians 4:6 says, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God." And in Matthew 6:25-34 we are told not to worry about our lives or what we will eat, drink, or wear because our heavenly Father knows we need them. Instead, we should seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to us as well.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today to lift up this person in prayer who is seeking Social Security disability benefits. We ask that Your will be done in this situation and that You would provide for their needs according to Your riches in glory. We pray for the Social Security representative who will be handling this case, that You would guide them and give them wisdom and discernment. We ask that You would soften their heart and give them compassion for this applicant. We rebuke any greed, lying, or deception in this process. We pray that they would receive benefits if the situation is legitimate and the need is genuine.
We also pray for this person, that they would trust in You and Your provision. We ask that You would give them peace and patience as they wait for a decision. We pray that they would use this situation to draw closer to You and to grow in their faith.
We ask all these things in Jesus' name, Amen.
We encourage you to continue to trust in God and His provision. Remember that He knows your needs and He will provide for them according to His riches in glory. Also, remember that God's ways are not our ways and His thoughts are not our thoughts. He may have a different plan for you than what you are expecting. Trust in Him and His plan for your life.
We also encourage you to examine your heart and your situation and make sure you are being honest and legitimate in your need for disability benefits. Remember that the Bible tells us to provide for ourselves and our families through work, if we are able. 2 Thessalonians 3:10 says, "For even when we were with you, we commanded you this: 'If anyone is not willing to work, neither let him eat.'"
