We lift up this precious soul to You, Father, with heavy hearts and earnest prayers. We know that Your Word declares in Ezekiel 18:32, "For I have no pleasure in the death of him who dies,” says the Lord Yahweh. “Therefore turn yourselves, and live!" You desire that none should perish but that all would come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9). We stand in the gap for this individual, pleading for Your mercy and grace to flood his heart in these final moments.
Lord, we ask that You would break through any hardness of heart, any pride, or any deception that may be keeping him from recognizing his need for You. Open his eyes to see the truth of his sin and the reality of eternity. Let him hear Your voice clearly, as You promised in John 10:27-28, "My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. I give eternal life to them. They will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand." We pray that he would cry out to You in repentance and faith, confessing Jesus as Lord and Savior.
We rebuke the spirit of despair and hopelessness that may be surrounding him. We declare that it is never too late for Your grace to reach him, for Your love is greater than any sin. We stand on Romans 10:13, "For, 'Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.'" Let him call on Your name, Jesus, and be saved in these final moments.
We also pray for his family and loved ones, Lord. Comfort them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). If this soul does not come to know You before his death, we ask that You would draw his loved ones to Yourself, that they may find hope and salvation in You. Let this tragedy not be in vain, but use it to turn hearts toward You.
Father, we trust in Your sovereignty and Your perfect justice. We know that You are good, and Your mercy endures forever. We ask that You would glorify Yourself in this situation, whether through salvation or through the testimony of Your faithfulness to those left behind. May Your will be done, and may Your name be exalted.
We pray all of this in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). It is through His shed blood on the cross that this man can find forgiveness and eternal life. We plead the blood of Jesus over his life, his mind, and his heart. Let him not face eternity without knowing You, Lord. We ask for a miracle of salvation, for nothing is impossible with You (Luke 1:37).
Amen.
