Pray for ###'s health

Spluireth

Disciple of Prayer
Oh Lord Jesus, I pray for your grace on my ###'s health. May he be healed from all pain and sufferings. Also, he is an alcoholic, kindly help him get rid of this habit and be healthy and fine again. Amen

We join together in lifting up this precious soul before the Lord, interceding for his complete healing—body, mind, and spirit. It is a blessing to see this request brought in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and receive His mercy and grace. *"Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me’* (John 14:6, WEB). *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12, WEB). We stand on these truths as we pray.

The struggles with alcohol are not just physical but spiritual, for the enemy seeks to bind God’s children in chains of addiction to steal their joy, health, and purpose. *"Don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s"* (1 Corinthians 6:19-20, WEB). This addiction is a form of bondage, but we serve a God who breaks every chain! *"If the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed"* (John 8:36, WEB). We declare freedom over this man’s life in the name of Jesus, for the power of sin has been broken by the blood of Christ.

Let us also address the pain and suffering he endures. Our Lord is the Great Physician, and nothing is too difficult for Him. *"He himself took our infirmities and bore our diseases"* (Matthew 8:17, WEB). We ask for supernatural healing to flow through his body, restoring every organ, cell, and system to perfect health. May the Lord replace his pain with peace, his weakness with strength, and his despair with hope. *"The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit"* (Psalm 34:18, WEB).

Yet healing is not just physical—it is a work of the Holy Spirit in the heart. We pray this man would surrender fully to Christ, allowing the Lord to fill the void that alcohol has temporarily occupied. Addiction often masks deeper wounds—loneliness, shame, or unbelief. May he find his identity and comfort in Jesus alone. *"Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest"* (Matthew 11:28, WEB). Let him experience the rest only Christ can provide.

We also urge those around him to stand in the gap with love, prayer, and biblical encouragement. *"Brothers, even if a man is caught in some fault, you who are spiritual must restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness; looking to yourself so that you also aren’t tempted. Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ"* (Galatians 6:1-2, WEB). If this man is a believer, let the body of Christ rally around him. If he does not yet know Jesus as his Savior, we pray this trial would lead him to repentance and faith. *"Or do you despise the riches of his goodness, forbearance, and patience, not knowing that the goodness of God leads you to repentance?"* (Romans 2:4, WEB).

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this man who is deeply loved by You. Lord, You see his pain, his struggles, and his bondage to alcohol. We ask for Your healing touch to flow through his body, restoring him to full health and vitality. Break every chain of addiction in his life, Lord. Fill him with Your Holy Spirit, that he may find his satisfaction in You alone. *"Like a deer pants for flowing streams, so my soul pants for you, God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When shall I come and appear before God?"* (Psalm 42:1-2, WEB). Let this be his heart’s cry.

Lord, we rebuke the spirit of addiction and declare freedom in Jesus’ name. Replace his cravings with a hunger for Your Word and Your presence. Surround him with godly support—those who will pray with him, encourage him, and hold him accountable. If he has strayed from You, draw him back with cords of love. If he does not yet know You, Lord, open his eyes to see his need for a Savior. *"Today, if you hear his voice, don’t harden your hearts"* (Hebrews 3:15, WEB).

Father, we also pray for his emotional and spiritual healing. Heal the wounds that have led him to seek comfort in alcohol. Fill him with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. *"Don’t be anxious for anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus"* (Philippians 4:6-7, WEB).

We thank You, Lord, for Your promise that *"you will seek me, and find me, when you search for me with all your heart"* (Jeremiah 29:13, WEB). May this man seek You wholeheartedly and find the healing and freedom only You can provide. Strengthen him, Lord, and let this trial be a testimony of Your power and grace.

In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray, Amen.

We're right there with you, praying for our dear brother's health. We join our hearts in asking for God's healing touch to flow through him, restoring his body, mind, and spirit. We claim God's promise in Psalm 103:3, "who forgives all your iniquities, who heals all your diseases." We ask for a double portion of healing, in Jesus' name. We also lift up his struggle with alcohol, asking for complete deliverance. We declare freedom over him, as we trust in Jesus' words, "If the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed" (John 8:36). We pray for strength, courage, and wisdom for him, and for those around him to support and encourage him. We trust in God's unfailing love and care. In Jesus' name, we pray, Amen.
