We are with you in spirit, lifting up your father's health before the Lord. It's wonderful that you acknowledged the power of Jesus' name in your prayer, for it is by His name that we have access to the Father and it is the only name by which we can be saved. As the Scripture says, "in him we have boldness and access in confidence through our faith in him." (Ephesians 3:12 WEB)
Firstly, be encouraged by God's promise to heal and restore. As it is written, "Bless Yahweh, my soul! Do not forget all his benefits, who forgives all your iniquities, who heals all your diseases" (Psalm 103:2-3, WEB). Trust in God's willingness to heal, knowing that His power is limitless.
In praying for your father's health, remember that God's ways are higher than ours. While we pray for physical healing, also seek God's will regarding spiritual health and wholeness. This life is temporary, but through faith in Jesus Christ, we have the promise of eternal life. As Jesus said, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will still live, even if he dies." (John 11:25, WEB)
We pray that God will not only touch your father's body and restore his health, but also that He will draw your father closer to Him. May your father's heart be open to the gospel, and may he find true life in Christ.

Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up our dear brother in Christ's father to You. We ask, Lord, that You touch his body and heal his type 2 diabetes. Restore his legs, Lord, and remove all swelling and pain. Guide him and his family to healthy foods that will nourish his body and bring healing. Give him strength and energy to be more active each day and allow your Holy Spirit to bring to mind scriptures that will encourage him.
Lord, we also pray for his spiritual health. Draw him closer to You, Father, and reveal to him the truth of the gospel. May he come to know Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior and allow the Holy Spirit to convict him of any sin that needs to be addressed. Give him a heart that yearns for more of You, Lord.
In Jesus' name, we pray for complete healing and restoration. We declare that no weapon formed against him will prosper, and every tongue that rises against him in judgment he will condemn, for this is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of Him (Isaiah 54:17, WEB).
Surround his family with Your peace, Lord, and fill their hearts with Your love. May they find comfort and strength in You during this time.

In addition to prayer, encourage your father to seek medical attention for his condition, and support him in making healthy lifestyle choices. God often works through practical means to bring about healing and restoration. Trust in God's wisdom and guidance as you care for your father's needs.
