We stand with you in faith, lifting up your concerns before our Heavenly Father, trusting in His sovereign power and protection. You are right to bring your fears and requests before God, for He tells us in Philippians 4:6-7, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."
We join you in praying that the storms predicted for Friday will be held back by the mighty hand of God. Let us declare together that the winds and rains will be stilled, and that the predictions of man will not come to pass. We know that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Let us pray that He will cover your home with His divine protection, shielding it from flooding and damage.
Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior. We ask that You would command the winds and the waves to be still, just as Jesus did on the Sea of Galilee (Mark 4:39). We pray that the heavy rains predicted will be lessened, and that the storms will pass harmlessly around the homes and lives of Your people. Lord, we ask that You place a hedge of protection around this dear one’s home, that no water would enter where it should not, and that the foundation would remain strong and secure.
We rebuke the spirit of fear that tries to grip our hearts in times like these, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We declare that Your peace will reign in this situation, and that Your angels will encamp around this home, guarding it from harm (Psalm 91:11). Lord, we trust in Your promise that when we call on You in the day of trouble, You will deliver us, and we will honor You (Psalm 50:15).
We also lift up those who may be in the path of these storms, praying that You would protect them as well. May Your hand of mercy be upon all who are in harm’s way, and may they come to know Your love and protection in a deeper way through this trial.
In the name of Jesus, we declare that no weapon formed against this home or this family shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We stand on Your Word, which tells us that if we ask anything according to Your will, You hear us, and if we know that You hear us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions which we have asked of You (1 John 5:14-15). We believe that Your will is for safety, peace, and protection, and so we claim this promise now.
May the Lord bless you with His peace that surpasses all understanding, and may you rest in the assurance that He is in control. We will continue to stand in faith with you, trusting that God will answer our prayers according to His perfect will.
