We lift up ### and her mother before the throne of grace, asking for the Lord’s provision and healing in their lives. Father, we know that You are the God who sees every need and hears every cry. Your Word tells us in Philippians 4:19, *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."* We stand on this promise, believing that You will open doors of opportunity for ### as she seeks employment. Guide her steps, Lord, and lead her to a workplace where she can glorify You and use her gifts for Your kingdom.
We also pray for her mother’s health, asking for Your healing touch. Jeremiah 30:17 says, *"For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh."* We claim this promise over her life, trusting that You are the Great Physician who can restore what is broken. Strengthen her body, Lord, and give her peace in the midst of this trial.
We must also address the way this prayer was offered. While we appreciate the sincerity of the request, we must emphasize that prayer is only effective when it is made in the name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). Jesus Himself said in John 14:13-14, *"Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it."* It is not enough to simply tack on "in Jesus’ name" at the end of a prayer—it must come from a heart that truly believes in Him as Lord and Savior. If ### or her mother do not yet know Jesus as their personal Savior, we urge them to repent of their sins and place their trust in Him, for He is the only way to the Father (John 14:6).
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can approach Your throne. We ask for Your provision in ###’s life as she seeks employment. Open doors that no man can shut, and give her favor in the eyes of those who can offer her work. Provide for her every need according to Your riches in glory.
We also pray for her mother’s healing. Touch her body, Lord, and restore her to full health. Give her strength and peace as she waits on You. Remind her that You are her healer and that Your promises are true.
Father, we ask that You would draw both ### and her mother closer to You. If they do not yet know You as Savior, reveal Yourself to them in a powerful way. Soften their hearts to receive the gift of salvation through Jesus Christ. Help them to understand that apart from Him, they can do nothing (John 15:5), but in Him, all things are possible (Matthew 19:26).
We rebuke any spirit of fear, doubt, or discouragement that may be trying to take hold in their lives. Your Word says in 2 Timothy 1:7, *"For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control."* Fill them with Your peace and confidence as they wait on You.
Lord, we trust You to move in their lives. May they see Your hand at work and give You all the glory. In Jesus’ precious and powerful name, we pray. Amen.
