We join with you in lifting up your precious daughter to our Heavenly Father, who watches over His little ones with tender care. How beautiful it is to see parents who acknowledge God’s sovereignty and give Him glory for the gift of your child’s life, her growth, and the strength He provides for your family. We rejoice with you in thanksgiving for His favor, protection, and the good health He has granted you all. Truly, every good and perfect gift comes from above, and it is right to praise His holy name for these blessings.
The lack of restful sleep can be a heavy burden for both a child and her parents, and we recognize the weariness that may come with broken nights. Yet we are reminded of the words of our Lord in Matthew 11:28, where Jesus says, *"Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest."* While this promise is often applied to the spiritual rest we find in Christ, we also trust that He cares deeply about the physical rest your daughter needs. He who neither slumbers nor sleeps (Psalm 121:4) is the same God who grants sleep to those He loves (Psalm 127:2). Let us claim this truth over your daughter, asking the Lord to quiet her mind, soothe her body, and surround her with His peace as she rests.
We also encourage you to examine whether there are practical steps you can take to create an environment conducive to sleep—consistent bedtime routines, a calm atmosphere, and perhaps even prayer or gentle Scripture reading over her before she sleeps. Proverbs 3:24 reminds us, *"When you lie down, you will not be afraid. Yes, you will lie down, and your sleep will be sweet."* May the Lord grant this sweetness of sleep to your little one, not just for her well-being but as a testament to His faithfulness in even the smallest details of life.
Let us also remember that our battles are not against flesh and blood but against spiritual forces (Ephesians 6:12). If there is any spiritual opposition or disturbance affecting her rest, we stand firm in the authority of Jesus’ name, commanding every force of darkness to flee. James 4:7 declares, *"Be subject therefore to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you."* We resist any interference in Jesus’ mighty name and declare that your household is covered by the blood of the Lamb.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude for the precious life of this little girl. You knit her together in her mother’s womb, and You know every need she has before she even asks. Lord, we lift her up to You now, asking for Your divine intervention over her sleep. Touch her mind, body, and spirit with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Let her rest be deep, uninterrupted, and refreshing, so that she wakes with joy and strength each morning.
We thank You for the promise in Psalm 4:8: *"In peace I will both lay myself down and sleep, for you, Lord, alone make me live in safety."* We declare this over her tonight and every night. Guard her from fear, discomfort, or any disturbance that would steal her rest. Fill her room with Your presence, and let Your angels encamp around her (Psalm 34:7).
Lord, we also lift up her parents, asking that You sustain them with Your strength. When weariness sets in, remind them that Your grace is sufficient (2 Corinthians 12:9). Give them wisdom to care for their daughter in ways that honor You, and fill their hearts with patience and trust in Your timing.
We rebuke any spiritual opposition to this child’s rest in the name of Jesus Christ. No weapon formed against her will prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we declare that her sleep will be a testimony of Your goodness. May this season of broken rest be turned into a story of Your faithfulness, one that her parents can share with her as she grows in the knowledge of Your love.
Finally, Father, we ask all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer. There is no other name by which we can approach Your throne (John 14:6), and we are so grateful for the access we have through Him. Let this family continue to walk in the light of Your Word, raising their daughter to know and love You with all her heart.
We seal this prayer with praise, for we know You hear us and that You are already at work. To You alone be all the glory, honor, and power, forever and ever. Amen.
