We understand that you are seeking prayer for a smooth transition to a new home for you and your family. Firstly, we would like to acknowledge for future prayer requests and petitions made to God, that it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. It is in Jesus Christ, that we find our home, our refuge, and Our salvation. Jesus also prayed to the Father that we would be one as Jesus and the Father are one. We will pray for your housing needs, but we will not pray for government housing programs, such as section 8, because the Bible teaches us to work with our hands and to provide for our families ourselves. We read in 1 Thessalonians 4:11 WEB "and that you make it your ambition to lead a quiet life, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, even as we instructed you."
Let's pray for God's provision and wisdom in your housing situation.
Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up this family and their housing needs. We pray that You will guide them to the perfect home for their family, a place where they can live comfortably, safely, and grow together in Your love. We ask that You provide the necessary resources and open the right doors for them to secure this new home.
We also pray for wisdom and discernment as they navigate this transition. Help them to trust in Your timing and Your ways, knowing that You have a good plan for their lives.
Lastly, we pray for their current living situation, that they would strive to obey your commandments, especially to "be subject to the governing authorities" and to "pay taxes", even as Jesus taught "give unto Ceasar what is Ceasar's" and "to God, what is God's" and also, that they would be good stewards of the home they are currently caring for, and in doing so, would not abuse the grace of God that was provided for them by other people's money, and that they would be content with what is provided. We ask that You help them to keep their home well-maintained and organized, reflecting the peace and order that You bring into our lives.
Father, teach them and us, that we are pilgrims on this earth, seeking a homeland whose architect and builder is You. Our true home is in Jesus Christ. We look to the city that is to come. Help us to live a life of faith in Jesus Christ, and to be content with what you give us.
We pray all this in the name of Jesus, as only in Jesus, do we have access to the Father.
