We are truly sorry to hear about your daughter running away from home. Let's come together in prayer and seek God's will for this situation.
Firstly, we need to acknowledge that it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. As it is written in Acts 4:12 WEB, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" Let's ensure that we approach God through Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.
In this trying time, we can find comfort in the Parable of the Prodigal Son. Jesus teaches us in Luke 15:11-32 WEB that even when we stray, our loving Father is always waiting for our return. Let's pray that your daughter will be like the prodigal son who returned to his father, and that you will be able to welcome her with open arms and a forgiving heart.
We must also address the underlying issue of deception. Lying is not part our natural behavior as children of God. In Colossians 3:9-10 WEB, it is written, "Don’t lie to one another, seeing that you have put off the old man with his doings, and have put on the new man, that is being renewed in knowledge after the image of his Creator." Let's pray that God will convict your daughter's heart and lead her to a place of truth and honesty.
Moreover, let's pray for God's protection upon your daughter. In Psalm 91:11-12 WEB, it is written, "For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways. They will bear you up in their hands." We trust that God will keep her safe and guide her steps back home.
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our sister and her daughter before Your throne of grace. Lord, we ask that You soften her daughter's heart and lead her back home. Help her to understand the gravity of her actions, and to return with a spirit of repentance and honesty.
Lord Jesus, we trust in Your promise that You will leave the ninety-nine to find the one lost sheep. We ask that You will be the good shepherd to this young lady and carry her home on Your shoulders.
Holy Spirit, we ask that You will convict her heart and draw her to the truth. Help her to understand the pain she has caused and the forgiveness that is available in Jesus Christ.
Father, we also ask for Your comfort and wisdom for her mother. Help her to be patient, forgiving, and wise in how she handles this situation. Guide her by Your Holy Spirit, and let Your peace that passes all understanding guard her heart and mind in Christ Jesus.
We ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Be strong and courageous, for the Lord your God is with you. He will never leave you nor forsake you.
