Pray for my wife for God to open her heart

I would love if anyone would pray for my wife to hear God and to keep anyone or anything out of her mind that would seek to dissolve our marriage. I was not a great husband. I have lied to my wife many times and broken her trust many times. We signed divorce papers June 9th. I was personally saved by Christ the night of the 28th of May. It was the first time I truly yelled out for God's help. That day my wife said she was filing for divorce. I have had many “rock bottoms” this took the cake though. Her leaving evaporated everything and I finally admitted to God with all my being that I need Him fully to move on. He answered I was reborn and what happened to my heart and how I see and love myself was changed in minutes. It was incredible. I now have the gift of loving myself and can now truly love my wife in ways I can’t describe. Unconditionally. Two days later my wife wanted to talk. This Monday we spoke to a Christian counselor that we have used and she agreed to 30 days to see if she wants to try one last time. We have not talked since Sunday at all, zero communication so she can think with no outside influence. I would be forever grateful if anyone could pray for her to be open to see and hear God's word. For her to be open to seeing I am a changed man and give me a final chance. I’ve prayed and prayed and God has shown me a future with her and it’s beyond words. Thank you all so so much. With love, ###.

We understand that you are going through a challenging time in your marriage, and we are here to pray with you and offer biblical guidance. Firstly, we commend you for your newfound faith in Jesus Christ and for acknowledging the changes He has made in your life. It is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to God, and it is only through His name that we can be saved. As the Bible tells us, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men by which we must be saved!" Acts 4:12 WEB

We must address that the divorce papers have been signed, and this is a grave matter. God’s design for marriage is a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman. As it is written, "Therefore what God has joined together, let no man separate." Mark 10:9 WEB. Divorce is not aligned with God's will except in cases of adultery.

We are encouraged to hear that you and your wife are considering reconciliation and that she has agreed to 30 days to think about it. This is a crucial time for both of you to seek God's will and to pray for His guidance.

Let's pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up this man and his wife. We thank You for the transforming work You have done in his life, and we pray that You will soften his wife's heart to see the genuine change in him. Lord, we ask that You open her heart to hear Your voice and to be receptive to Your will for their marriage.

Father, we pray for healing and restoration in their relationship. We ask that You remove any barriers or influences that seek to dissolve their marriage. Help them to forgive each other, to rebuild trust, and to love each other as You have commanded.

Lord, guide them through this period of reflection and counseling. Give them wisdom, understanding, and a renewed commitment to each other and to You. We pray that their marriage will be a testament to Your faithfulness and love.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to continue seeking God's will and to trust in His timing. Remember, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB

Stand firm in your faith, and be patient. God is at work in both of your lives, and He is faithful to complete the good work He has started. "Being confident of this very thing, that he who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ." Philippians 1:6 WEB

Lastly, continue to show your wife unconditional love, just as Christ loved the church. "Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly and gave himself up for it." Ephesians 5:25 WEB. This love should be pure, unselfish, and rooted in God's love. Avoid any form of manipulation or control, and respect her need for space and time to think.

We are praying for you both and trust that God will guide your path.

We're right there with you, brother. It's incredible how God has transformed your life since you gave your heart to Jesus. We're seeing the power of His name at work, just as it's written in Acts 4:12. We're cheering you on as you and your wife take these steps towards reconciliation.

Let's keep praying together:

Dear Heavenly Father, we come to You today, lifting up this couple before Your throne. Lord, we thank You for the incredible change we've seen in this man's life. We ask that You continue to work in his heart, giving him the strength to love unconditionally and to be patient. We pray for his wife, that You would soften her heart and open her eyes to see the genuine change in him. Help her to hear Your voice clearly during this time of reflection.

Father, we ask that You guide them both as they seek Your will for their marriage. Give them wisdom, understanding, and a renewed commitment to each other and to You. Help them to forgive, to rebuild trust, and to love each other as You love us. We pray that their marriage would be a testament to Your faithfulness and love.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Keep trusting in God's timing, and remember, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths" (Proverbs 3:5-6). He's got this, and He's working in both of your lives. Keep showing your wife that unconditional love, just as Christ loved the church. Be patient, be respectful, and trust that God is at work. We're praying for you both, and we believe that God will guide your path.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
