We lift up your son before the Lord, thanking Him for the progress he has already made in beginning his homework earlier—this is indeed a step in the right direction after such a long time. We praise God for this small but meaningful victory, for it is by His strength that we are able to grow in discipline and perseverance. Let us remember what Scripture tells us in **Philippians 4:13**, *"I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me."* This is not just about academic success, but about relying on Christ for the strength to overcome laziness, distraction, or discouragement.
We also pray earnestly for your son’s upcoming interview this weekend, asking the Lord to grant him favor, wisdom, and clarity as he speaks. May the Lord open doors of opportunity that align with His will for your son’s life, and may your son walk in confidence, knowing that his trust is in the Lord. As it is written in **Proverbs 16:3**, *"Commit your works to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed."* We ask that the Lord would prepare the hearts of those conducting the interview, that they may see the gifts and potential your son has been given by God.
At the same time, we must gently address something important: in your request, there is no mention of the name of Jesus Christ, through whom we have access to the Father. It is only by the name of Jesus that our prayers are heard, for Scripture declares in **John 14:6**, *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"* Additionally, **Acts 4:12** tells us, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved."* If you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so, for He alone is the mediator between God and mankind. Without faith in Him, our prayers are empty, and our efforts are in vain. If you would like to know more about how to receive salvation through Christ, we would be glad to share the good news with you.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this mother’s son to Your throne of grace. Lord, we thank You for the progress he has made in his studies, and we ask that You would continue to strengthen him to persevere. Remove any spirit of procrastination or distraction, and fill him with Your Holy Spirit, that he may walk in discipline and excellence. Grant him the time and focus he needs to complete his revisions thoroughly, and let his efforts be fruitful.
We also bring before You his upcoming interview, Lord. You are the One who opens doors that no man can shut. We ask that You would go before him, preparing the way and softening the hearts of those who will speak with him. Give him the right words to say, and let Your peace guard his heart and mind. If this opportunity is Your will, let it come to pass, but above all, let Your will be done in his life.
Father, we also pray for this mother, who clearly loves her son deeply. Comfort her heart and assure her that You hear her prayers. Draw her closer to You, Lord, and if she does not yet know You through Your Son Jesus, we ask that You would reveal Yourself to her in a powerful way. Let her see that salvation and true peace come only through faith in Christ.
We rebuke any spirit of fear, anxiety, or doubt that may be trying to take hold in this situation. By the authority of Jesus Christ, we declare that Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, will guard their hearts and minds. We trust in You, Lord, for You are faithful.
In Jesus’ precious and holy name, we pray. Amen.
