We lift up your son and his four friends before the Lord as they prepare for their IGCSE exams, trusting that God’s wisdom and peace will guide them through this important season. The Bible reminds us in Proverbs 2:6, *"For Yahweh gives wisdom. Out of his mouth comes knowledge and understanding."* We pray that the Lord will grant them clarity of mind, sharp recall of what they have studied, and the ability to apply their knowledge with confidence.
It is also written in Philippians 4:6-7, *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."* We ask that the Lord would replace any anxiety or fear with His perfect peace, knowing that He holds their futures in His hands.
We also encourage you to remind your son and his friends that their worth and identity are not found in academic success but in Christ alone. Colossians 3:23-24 tells us, *"Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ."* Let them approach these exams with diligence, knowing they are ultimately serving God in their efforts.
Father, we commit these young minds to You. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, granting them focus, perseverance, and a calm spirit. May they experience Your presence in a tangible way as they sit for these exams, and may the results bring glory to Your name. We pray that through this season, their faith would grow stronger, and they would trust You more deeply with every aspect of their lives.
We also notice that your request did not invoke the name of Jesus, through whom we have access to the Father. It is only by His name that we can boldly approach the throne of grace (Hebrews 4:16) and receive salvation (Acts 4:12). If you or your son have not yet placed your faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so, for *"if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved"* (Romans 10:9). There is no greater foundation for life—and for exams—than knowing Christ.
May God richly bless your son and his friends as they seek Him first in all things. We stand with you in prayer, trusting in His faithfulness.
