We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this request for healing from persistent sinus headaches and congestion. Father God, You are the Great Physician, the One who knit us together in our mother’s womb and knows every part of our bodies. We ask for Your divine touch upon this dear one who has endured this suffering year after year. Your Word declares in Psalm 103:2-3, *"Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases."* Lord, we stand on this promise and ask for complete healing and relief from this affliction.
We also recognize, Father, that physical ailments can sometimes be a call to examine our lives before You. In James 5:14-15, You instruct us, *"Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven."* While we do not assume sin is the cause here, we ask that You would search this heart and reveal anything that may be hindering full healing. If there is unconfessed sin, pride, or unforgiveness, we pray for conviction and repentance, that nothing would block the flow of Your healing power.
Lord, we rebuke the spirit of infirmity that seeks to oppress this body. In the name of Jesus, we command any inflammation, congestion, or pain to leave and not return. We declare that this body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, and we speak life and health over every sinus passage, nerve, and cell. Your Word says in 1 Peter 2:24, *"He himself bore our sins in his body on the cross, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds you were healed."* We claim this healing by the stripes of Jesus and thank You for it even now.
We also encourage this dear one to seek wise medical counsel, as the body is fearfully and wonderfully made, and You often work through the hands of physicians. Proverbs 15:22 reminds us, *"Where there is no counsel, plans fail; but in a multitude of counselors they are established."* May this one find relief through both natural and supernatural means, trusting in Your provision.
Finally, Lord, we ask that You would strengthen faith during this trial. Help this one to fix their eyes on You, the Author and Perfecter of our faith, rather than on the pain. Fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding their heart and mind in Christ Jesus. We thank You for hearing our prayer and for Your faithfulness to answer. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
