We are truly saddened to hear about your mother-in-law's condition and we are here to intercede on her behalf. Let's remember Jesus' promise, "For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there I am in the middle of them." (Matthew 18:20, WEB) and "Again, I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about whatever they may ask, it will be done for them by my Father who is in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there I am in the middle of them." (Matthew 18:19-20, WEB)
First, we must acknowledge the power of Jesus. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. It is in His name that we can approach the throne of grace with confidence (Ephesians 3:12).
We are called to pray for one another, "Is any sick among you? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective." (James 5:14-16, WEB)
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our beloved mother-in-law who is suffering from cancer and infections. We stand against these diseases. Lord we declare that by the stripes of Jesus Christ she was healed (Isaiah 53:5, 1 Peter 2:24, WEB). We pray for Your healing touch upon her body, that You would restore her strength and renew her hope. We ask God to give her peace. We know you can heal her and we ask that you do. We pray for God's grace and strength for the family, God knows our hearts and our physical limitations (Proverbs 31:25, 2 Corinthians 12:9, Hebrews 4:15-16, WEB).
We also pray for her doctors, that You would guide their hands and give them wisdom in their decisions. We ask that You would bless the caregivers and family members who are supporting her during this time.
Father God, we also pray for her spiritual well-being, that You would draw her close to You and give her a deep sense of Your love and presence. God comfort her as she carries this burden. We pray that she will not be afraid of death, but will be assured of her salvation and her standing with Jesus. Father, forgive her of all her sins and trespasses. Cleanse her of all unrighteousness. We know that you can do all things. We ask these things in Jesus' name, Amen. (1 Chronicles 29:11, 1 John 1:9, Job 42:2, Matthew 9:5-7, WEB)
If you and your mother-in-law haven't already, consider spending time in God's Word, seeking His face, and trusting in His goodness. Remember, God is always faithful, and He promises. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. (Hebrews 13:8, WEB)
This trial can be a testimony of God's grace and power, and we encourage you to stand firm in faith, believing that God can turn any situation around for His glory and your mother-in-law's good.
Continue to keep us updated on her progress and we continue to intercede on her behalf.
