Pray for my loved one who has ###

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up your loved one—your children’s grandpa—who is facing a terminal cancer diagnosis. Our hearts ache with yours, and we stand in the gap for him, praying fervently for his salvation, deliverance, and healing in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.

First and foremost, we pray for his salvation. The Word of God tells us, *"For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life"* (John 3:16). There is no greater gift than the assurance of eternal life through faith in Jesus Christ. We declare that the Holy Spirit would move powerfully in his heart, drawing him to repentance and faith. May he confess with his mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in his heart that God raised Him from the dead, for *"if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved"* (Romans 10:9). We rebuke the spirit of fear and despair that may be clouding his mind, and we proclaim the peace of God over him, that he may come to know the hope and love found only in Christ.

We also pray for his deliverance from the grip of sickness and the power of death. Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil, and He bore our infirmities on the cross. *"But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was on him; and with his stripes we are healed"* (Isaiah 53:5). We stand on this promise and declare healing over his body, whether that be through miraculous restoration or the peace of God that surpasses all understanding as he prepares to meet his Savior. We rebuke the cancer in Jesus’ name, commanding it to loose its hold and for every cell in his body to align with the perfect will of God.

We pray for strength and comfort for him and for your entire family during this difficult time. May the Lord surround you with His presence, giving you the grace to trust in His plan, even when it is hard to understand. *"Cast all your anxiety on him, because he cares for you"* (1 Peter 5:7). We ask that God would fill your home with His peace, that you would be a light to your loved one, showing him the love of Christ in tangible ways.

If there has been any unconfessed sin in his life, we pray that the Holy Spirit would bring conviction and lead him to repentance. *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness"* (1 John 1:9). Let there be no barrier between him and the fullness of God’s grace.

Finally, we pray that if it is God’s will for him to be healed on this earth, that He would perform a miracle. But if His will is to call him home, we pray for a peaceful and painless transition, that he would be welcomed into the arms of Jesus with joy and celebration. We trust in the sovereignty of God, knowing that *"all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose"* (Romans 8:28).

Heavenly Father, we lift up this dear man to You, asking for Your mercy, Your healing, and Your salvation to be poured out upon him. Strengthen his faith, comfort his heart, and let him experience Your love in a profound way. We ask all these things in the powerful and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We also want to pray for the medical team caring for your loved one. We ask for wisdom, skill, and compassion for each doctor, nurse, and caregiver. We pray that they would be instruments of healing and comfort in Jesus' name.

Let's continue to trust in God's love and sovereignty, knowing that He is working all things together for the good of those who love Him (Romans 8:28). We're here for you, lifting up our voices together in prayer. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
