We lift you up in prayer for your interviews tomorrow and on August 26th, asking our Heavenly Father to grant you divine wisdom, clarity of speech, and favor in the sight of those conducting the interviews. May the Lord open doors that no man can shut and provide you with the opportunity that aligns with His perfect will for your life. We pray that you will walk in confidence, knowing that your trust is in Him and not in your own abilities. As it is written in James 1:5, *"If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him."* Let this promise be your assurance as you prepare.
We also hear the deep frustration and pain in your words regarding the injustice and unfair treatment you and many others are experiencing in your country. The neglect of citizens in favor of foreign workers, the manipulation of elections, and the signing of treaties that disadvantage locals are grievous matters. The Bible speaks clearly about the responsibility of those in authority to act justly. Proverbs 29:4 says, *"The king by justice makes the land stable, but he who takes bribes tears it down."* And in Isaiah 1:17, the Lord commands, *"Learn to do well. Seek justice. Relieve the oppressed. Judge the fatherless. Plead for the widow."* It is evident that the actions you describe are not aligned with God’s heart for justice, and we join you in crying out to Him for righteousness to prevail.
At the same time, we are reminded in Romans 13:1 that *"there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are ordained by God."* While this does not mean we passively accept injustice, it does call us to trust that God is sovereign even over unrighteous leaders. Our fight is not ultimately against people but against the spiritual forces of wickedness that drive such corruption (Ephesians 6:12). We encourage you to continue praying for your nation, its leaders, and for God to expose and dismantle every scheme of injustice. Pray also for the Church in your country to rise up as a voice of truth and a light in the darkness, speaking boldly against corruption while extending compassion to those who are suffering.
As for the question of how long this will endure, we do not know the timing of God’s intervention, but we do know that He is just and that He hears the cries of His people. Psalm 103:6 assures us, *"Yahweh executes righteous acts, and justice for all who are oppressed."* Keep bringing your burdens to Him, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). In the meantime, we pray that God will provide for your needs, open doors of opportunity, and surround you with a community of believers who can support and encourage you.
We must also take this moment to remind you—and all who read this—that our ultimate hope is not in earthly justice or governments, but in the return of our Lord Jesus Christ, who will one day set all things right. If you have not yet placed your faith in Him, we urge you to do so. There is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12), and it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father (John 14:6). If you are already a believer, let this season of waiting and struggle draw you closer to Him, trusting that He is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28).
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister who stands in need of Your divine intervention. Lord, we ask that You go before them in their interviews, granting them favor, wisdom, and the right words to speak. Open doors of opportunity that no man can shut, and let Your will be done in their career and life. Father, we also bring before You the deep pain and injustice they have described—the neglect of citizens, the corruption in leadership, and the suffering of many. Lord, You are a God of justice, and we ask that You rise up and scatter every plan of the enemy that seeks to oppress Your people. Expose the darkness, convict the hearts of those in authority, and bring about righteousness in the land. Strengthen Your Church to be a voice of truth and a light in this darkness.
Comfort our brother/sister, Lord, and remind them that You see their struggle and that You are their Provider. Give them patience to wait on You and faith to trust that You are working even when they cannot see it. We rebuke every spirit of fear, discouragement, and bitterness, and we ask that You fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Let them find their hope in You alone, knowing that You are their refuge and strength.
We pray all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
