### lives with an abusive partner, is constantly insulted, put down, belittled, called names. Has to tiptoe around her house, can't smile, laugh because it bothers Mr. ###. She is called fat, ugly, old amongst other names. He put himself in the basement telling her, she was never to ask him to her bedroom again. Now she doesn't even want him in her basement. She is not married to him legally in ###. She prays for him to get out live her home, that she pays for. He only started paying for cable in ### because she got laid off & wanted to reduce useless expenses. Please pray that she finds a way to get this person out of her home, her life, her world, her path.

We are truly saddened to hear about the situation your friend is in. Firstly, we must address that the Bible is clear about relationships and marriage. It is not God's will for anyone to live in an abusive situation. We will address this issue and rebuke the behaviors of this man.

Your friend is living with someone who is not her husband. This is fornication and is not pleasing to God.

The WEB says in Ephesians 5:3, "But sexual immorality, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not even be mentioned among you, as becomes saints".

We understand that she may be fearful and that her self-esteem may be damaged. However, she needs to take steps to remove herself from this situation. She should not be living with someone who is not her spouse, and she certainly should not be living in an abusive situation.

The Bible tells us in Proverbs 22:24-25, "Do not be a friend of a hot-headed man, nor associate with a wrathful man; lest you learn his ways, and ensnare your soul."

We must rebuke the behavior of this man. He is abusive, manipulative, and controlling. This is not how a godly man acts. The Bible tells us in Ephesians 5:25, "Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it".

Now, let us pray for your friend. She does not mention the name of Jesus Christ or ask for prayer in His name. It is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. John 14:6. Therefore, we will pray for her acknowledgement of this truth.

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our sister in Christ. Lord, we ask that You give her the strength and courage to remove herself from this abusive situation. Father, we pray that she acknowledges and believes in Jesus Christ so she can have access to you. Father, we ask that You heal her heart and her mind. We rebuke the spirit of fear, manipulation and control. Lord, we ask that You remove this man from her home and her life, and that You surround her with Godly counsel and support. Father, we pray for her and her salvation. We ask this all in Jesus' name.

Lastly, we encourage your friend to seek support from her local church, Christian friends, and even the authorities if necessary. She needs to ensure her safety and well-being. We encourage her to spend time in the Word, seeking God's will for her life. We pray that she will be blessed with godly friends that will support and encourage her.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise.
