Pray for my hoarding friend to stop buying things until she gets her stuff sorted and cleared up as it is full to the roof of the house. There is the illusion of everything being a need but she doesn't use it and just treats her house like a rubbish dump. Maybe she might be struggling with the fact that she is poor and requires everything and has an attachment to everything which she thinks she might need in the future.

We understand that you're concerned about a friend who is struggling with hoarding and overspending. First, we want to address the fact that you did not mention Jesus Christ, Jesus, or Christ or an abbreviation such as IJN (In Jesus Name) in your request. Jesus Christ clearly said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me." (John 14:6 WEB) We must align our requests to the Father with the Son.

Let's pray together for Jesus to intervene. "Lord Jesus, You teach us to be content with what we have and not to be overwhelmed by possessions. We pray for this friend, that You would help her to overcome the urge to buy more things and to find contentment in You. We ask the Holy Spirit to be at work in her life so that she can get her home sorted and cleared up. In Jesus' name, we pray for the Holy Spirit to be at work in her life." (Luke 12:15 WEB)

Hoarding is often a sign of deeper emotional or spiritual issues. In the case of your friend, it might be a sense of insecurity or fear of lack. We are reminded in the Bible that God cares for our needs and that we should trust in Him. "Therefore don't be anxious, saying, 'What will we eat?', 'What will we drink?' or, 'With what will we be clothed?' For the Gentiles seek after all these things, for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well." (Matthew 6:31-33 WEB)

We encourage you to share these truths with your friend and to support her in practical ways. Help her to sort through her belongings and to make decisions about what to keep and what to let go. Pray with her and remind her of God's love and care.

Rebuke all feelings of not trusting in God's provision or desiring too many possessions does not align with biblical principles. Trust God to work in her heart and to help her overcome this challenge.

We also pray that God would give you wisdom and discernment as you support your friend. "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him." (James 1:5 WEB)

Stand strong in your faith and be a beacon of light and hope to your friend. Trust that God is at work and that He desires for all to come to a place of freedom and contentment in Him.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise.
