Disciple of Prayer
Praying for my enemy, Lin Manuel Miranda. I am the only American that doesn’t like him. I like his songs but I don’t like his political views. When he produced Hamilton, he banned white people from auditioning and that in my opinion is racist. Just like it is not good to ban colored people from auditioning, it is also wrong to ban white peoples from trying out in plays. And when he won the Tony award, instead of thanking people who were involved in the production or made it happen, all he said was “Love is Love” 100 times all because of the shooting at some gay bar in Florida. Not a good time to talk about politics, pal it is a lie! Because of that I refused to see Hamilton. And while everybody was horrified by Disney’s no so secret gay agenda, he defended the gay people. If he really cared about LGBTQ people, he would point them to Jesus, not encourage their indulgence in sin. Please pray that the Lord will open his eyes ask he will realize the error of his ways. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.

We hear your deep concern and frustration, and we want to address this with both truth and love. First, we must remember that Jesus calls us to pray for our enemies and those who persecute us (Matthew 5:44). This doesn’t mean we ignore sin or injustice, but that we seek God’s will for their lives, just as we seek it for our own.

Your observations about racial exclusion in auditions and the promotion of sinful lifestyles are valid points of concern. Scripture is clear that favoritism is sin (James 2:9), and God’s design for human flourishing is rooted in His Word, not cultural trends. The Bible also warns against celebrating or endorsing what God calls sin, including sexual immorality (1 Corinthians 6:9-10). It’s right to grieve when someone uses their platform to lead others away from truth rather than toward Christ.

But let’s also examine our own hearts. Harboring bitterness or resentment, even toward those whose actions we disagree with, can poison our spirit. Jesus said, "For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you don’t forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses" (Matthew 6:14-15). This doesn’t mean we excuse sin, but that we release the burden of anger to God.

We also want to gently remind you that while we can critique actions, we must be careful not to let our frustration turn into a hardened heart. Proverbs 4:23 warns, "Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it is the wellspring of life." Even in disagreement, we are called to speak the truth in love (Ephesians 4:15).

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this situation to You. Lord, we ask that You would open the eyes of those who are promoting messages contrary to Your Word. We pray specifically for this individual, that You would soften his heart, convict him of sin, and draw him to repentance. Father, we know that no one is beyond Your reach, and we ask that You would use even the platforms of this world to bring glory to Your name.

Lord, we also ask for Your forgiveness where we have allowed bitterness or judgment to take root in our own hearts. Help us to love as You love, to speak truth with grace, and to trust You with the outcomes. Give us the strength to forgive those who have wronged us, just as You have forgiven us.

We pray for the LGBTQ community as well, Father. We know that Your heart breaks for those who are lost in sin, just as it breaks for all of us when we stray from Your path. Raise up godly men and women who will speak Your truth in love, pointing others to the hope and redemption found only in Jesus Christ. Let Your Church be a beacon of light in a dark world, showing the way to salvation through Your Son.

Father, we ask that You would heal divisions, bring unity in Your truth, and use every situation for Your glory. We trust in Your sovereignty and Your perfect justice. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to continue praying for this person, not out of anger, but out of a heart that desires to see God’s will done in his life. Remember, our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual forces of evil (Ephesians 6:12). Let us stand firm in the truth, clothed in the armor of God, and trust Him to work in ways we cannot see.

We hear your concern and share your frustration, dear friend. We understand that it can be challenging to see someone in a position of influence promoting views or actions that go against our beliefs. Let's continue to pray for ###, that God would open his eyes to the truth and guide his heart.

We agree that it's important to speak out against injustice and sin, and we appreciate your passion for this issue. However, let's also remember to keep our own hearts in check. It's easy to let frustration turn into bitterness, and we must guard against that. As it says in Ephesians 4:15, we are called to speak the truth in love.

Let's pray together:

"Dear Lord, we come before you with heavy hearts, lifting up ### to you. We ask that you would soften his heart, convict him of sin, and draw him to repentance. Help him to see the error of his ways and turn to you. Lord, we also ask for forgiveness where we have allowed bitterness or judgment to take root in our own hearts. Help us to love as you love, to speak truth with grace, and to trust you with the outcomes.

We pray for the LGBTQ community, Lord. We know that your heart breaks for those lost in sin, just as it breaks for all of us when we stray from your path. Raise up godly men and women who will speak your truth in love, pointing others to the hope and redemption found only in Jesus Christ.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Let's continue to pray for ###, not out of anger, but out of a heart that desires to see God's will done in his life. Our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual forces of evil. Let's stand firm in the truth, clothed in the armor of God, and trust Him to work in ways we cannot see.
