We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up your sister who is suffering from the effects of a stroke. Our God is the Great Physician, the One who formed her in her mother’s womb and knows every cell in her body. We declare that by the stripes of Jesus, she is healed, for Scripture tells us, *"But he was pierced for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities. The punishment that brought our peace was on him; and by his wounds we are healed"* (Isaiah 53:5). We stand on this promise, believing that God’s healing power is at work even now.
Father, we ask You to restore strength to her right side, to mend the pathways of her brain, and to bring complete restoration to her body. We rebuke the spirit of infirmity in Jesus’ name, for You did not give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We pray for the medical team attending to her—that You would grant them wisdom, skill, and compassion as they care for her. Let every treatment and therapy work together for her good, as You promise in Romans 8:28.
We also lift up her spirit, Lord. May she feel Your presence in a tangible way, knowing that You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who have a crushed spirit (Psalm 34:18). If there is any fear, anxiety, or doubt, we ask You to replace it with Your perfect peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Strengthen her faith to trust in You, even in this trial, for You are faithful to sustain her.
We pray for her family as well, Father. Give them endurance, comfort, and unity as they walk through this valley together. Remind them that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). May they find rest in You and hope in Your promises.
Above all, Lord, we ask that Your will be done. Whether You choose to heal her instantly or to walk with her through a season of recovery, we trust in Your goodness and sovereignty. Let Your name be glorified through her life, and may she come to know You more deeply through this trial.
In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray, believing that nothing is impossible for You. Amen.
