Your prayer for your daughter has been heard and we join you in lifting her before the Lord. To be far from family and to go through the pain of a broken relationship can leave a person feeling alone and overwhelmed, and God sees her in that place.
We pray that the Lord Himself will comfort her. He is near to the brokenhearted and He promises to give His peace and presence to those who call on Him. We ask Him to surround her with godly support where she is, to bring people around her who will care for her well, and to remind her daily that she is not forgotten or alone.
We also pray for wisdom for her. Scripture says that if anyone lacks wisdom, let him ask of God who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him, when he asks in faith without wavering. There is a wisdom that comes from this world that is earthly and self focused and leads to confusion and strife, and there is a wisdom that comes from above that is pure, peaceable, gentle and full of mercy. The wisdom from above leads to a life of purity and peace, and its fruit can be seen in a life. We pray she will seek that wisdom from God and not from the voices around her, and that He will make clear the right steps to take. The beginning of wisdom is the fear of the Lord, and when we ask Him with a sincere heart He will guide us.
We pray too that she will not lose faith. Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. It is not simply saying we believe, but trusting God so that our lives begin to conform to what we believe. True faith will show itself in how we live, yet the Bible is honest that even great men and women of faith have had moments of weakness and fear. Abraham, who is called the father of faith, failed at times out of fear. Elijah, a man of great courage, once fled and hid. Their lapses remind us that God does not require a perfect, unwavering faith at every moment. He honors even a small and imperfect faith when it is placed in Him. Moses, when he was grown, by faith chose to turn from the riches and pleasures available to him and to identify with the people of God, because his eyes were opened to see beyond what is immediate and visible. Faith helps us see more, not less, and helps us choose what pleases God even when it is costly.
Having faith does not mean we will be spared all sorrow. Many in Scripture who trusted God still walked through suffering and loss, and some died still trusting the promises they had not yet seen fulfilled. Faith is not a guarantee against pain, but it is the confidence that God is faithful and present through it.
So we pray that your daughter will keep looking to Jesus, in whom alone we find salvation and hope. We pray she will find strength to make decisions that honor Him, that she will be kept in purity and in the path He has designed for relationships, which is a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman, with intimacy reserved for within that covenant. We pray that out of her faith will come the works and choices that reflect a changed heart, and that God will heal her emotions and renew her hope.
May the Lord keep her, give her clear wisdom for each decision, and deepen her trust in Him through this trial.
