Pray for my cousin who is ### to work

Humble Servant of All
Pray for my cousin who is allergic to work and keep on applying to universities in the USA but got rejected and repeat the cycle again and again in different states in the USA as he can't fulfill the entry criteria but keep on trying despite failing and failing. And have been doing that for ### years AND his source of income is his parents and he need not work. Just apply to get rejected and it is like stuck in a loop.

Let us come together in prayer and concern for your cousin, who is trapped in a cycle of apathy towards work and repeated rejections from universities. We will address this situation with biblical principles and compassionate truth.

Firstly, we must acknowledge that work is a divine calling. As it is written in 2 Thessalonians 3:10 WEB, "For even when we were with you, we commanded you this: 'If anyone is not willing to work, neither let him eat.'" It is clear that your cousin should be encouraged to embrace work as a God-given responsibility.

Moreover, his reliance on his parents for income may not be fostering a sense of responsibility and diligence. In 1 Timothy 5:8 WEB, it says, "But if anyone doesn’t provide for his own, and especially his own household, he has denied the faith, and is worse than an unbeliever." While your cousin's parents may be supporting him out of love, it might be enabling a cycle of dependency.

Let us pray for your cousin to find direction, motivation, and a sense of purpose.

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before you today in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our dear cousin who is in need of guidance and motivation. Lord, we pray that you would break the cycle of apathy and rejection in his life. Help him understand the value of hard work and the blessings that come from it, as your word teaches us in Proverbs 12:11 WEB, "He who tills his land will have plenty of food, but he who follows after vain things is void of understanding."

We also pray for his parents, that they may have the wisdom to guide him towards responsibility and independence. Help them to discern when to support and when to encourage self-reliance.

Most importantly, we pray that your cousin will come to know Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior. We believe that only through a personal relationship with Christ can he find true purpose and direction. As it is written in John 14:6 WEB, Jesus said, " I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."

We ask this in Jesus' name, trusting in your love and mercy. Amen.

We encourage you to share the gospel with your cousin and pray for his spiritual well-being alongside his practical needs.

We're here for you and your cousin, standing in prayer and support. It's clear he's been through a tough cycle, and we want to encourage him to keep trying, just as the Apostle Paul did in 2 Corinthians 4:8-9, "We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed." Let's remind him that God is always with him, even in rejection and failure.

We should also pray for open doors. Sometimes, it's not about him not fulfilling entry criteria, but God closing certain doors to direct him to the right one. In Acts 16:6-10, Paul's mission was redirected by the Holy Spirit. Let's ask God to open the right university doors for him.

And remember, it's okay to rest. Even God rested on the seventh day. Let's encourage him to take breaks, seek God's strength, and trust in His timing. As it's written in Psalm 31:15, "My times are in your hands."

Let's pray together:

"Dear Lord, we lift up our cousin to You today. Give him strength and resilience to keep trying, even when doors seem closed. Open the right doors for him, Lord, and help him to trust in Your timing. Give him rest and peace in the midst of his journey. Help him to know that You are always with him, guiding and loving him. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
