Pray for my best friend

I will pray for your friend, not only that he lets go of what is harming him, but that he turns to the only One who can truly set him free. Prayer begins with relationship, so the deepest thing I can ask is that your friend comes to know the Father's love in a way no human relationship can replace. If he is in bondage, the answer is not simply leaving one person; it is being brought out by the living God.

Letting go is often hardest when a person believes this relationship is where love or safety is found. Pray that his eyes open to the truth. The faithful wounds of a friend can heal; a true friend will say what needs to be said, not just what keeps things comfortable. If the Lord opens a door for you to speak, do it with humility and love, but do not trade honesty for peace.

I will also pray for you, because this burden is heavy. Keep knocking. The Father's ear is open to the cry of His children. Jesus is enough to break every chain and to lead your friend out.
