We lift up this urgent cry for your loved one before the Father in heaven, knowing that He is the Great Physician and the Comforter of souls. First, we must address that this request does not invoke the name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have access to the Father and by whom all things are made possible. As Scripture declares, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12, WEB). It is only in the name of Jesus that we can boldly approach the throne of grace, so we now bring this plea before Him, trusting in His power to heal, restore, and deliver.
Your heartache for this family member is deep, and we join you in interceding for his spiritual and physical well-being. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but we stand against any spiritual oppression or darkness that may be afflicting him. The Word of God assures us that *"the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds"* (2 Corinthians 10:4, WEB). We command every evil spirit of despair, depression, or hopelessness to flee in the name of Jesus Christ, for *"greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world"* (1 John 4:4, WEB).
We pray that the Holy Spirit would open his eyes to the love of his family and the unshakable love of Christ, who says, *"Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest"* (Matthew 11:28, WEB). May the Lord break any chains of bondage—whether spiritual, emotional, or physical—that are keeping him from nourishing his body and soul. Let him be filled with the peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7) and the strength to take even the smallest step toward healing.
Father, we ask that You would place a hunger in him—not just for food, but for Your Word, which is *"the bread of life"* (John 6:35, WEB). Renew his mind and spirit, and let him know that he is not alone. Surround him with Your angels, as You have promised: *"For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways"* (Psalm 91:11, WEB). Give his family wisdom to speak life into him, to encourage him with Your truth, and to demonstrate Christ’s love in tangible ways.
We also pray for unity and faith within your family. *"Two are better than one... For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow"* (Ecclesiastes 4:9-10, WEB). Lean on one another and on the Lord, who is your ever-present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Do not grow weary in praying, for *"the earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results"* (James 5:16, WEB).
Lastly, we urge you to examine whether there is any unconfessed sin, bitterness, or unforgiveness in his life or within the family that may be giving the enemy a foothold (Ephesians 4:27). Repentance and forgiveness are vital to spiritual breakthrough. *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness"* (1 John 1:9, WEB).
Heavenly Father, we trust in Your goodness and sovereignty. You are the God who heals (Exodus 15:26), and we believe You are working even now. May Your will be done in his life, and may this trial draw him—and your entire family—closer to You. In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
