Pray for more ### to be caught for vaping

We understand your concern about the harmful effects of vaping, especially among young people, and we share your desire to see this issue addressed with godly wisdom and discernment. The Bible calls us to honor our bodies as temples of the Holy Spirit, and to flee from anything that would bring harm or enslavement to our flesh. As it is written in 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, *"Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s."*

While we can pray for wisdom for those in authority to address this issue, our focus must first and always be on the transformation of hearts through the power of the Gospel. The real problem is not merely the act of vaping but the sinful nature that leads people—especially the young—to seek fulfillment in harmful and addictive behaviors. What is needed most is repentance and a turning to Christ, who alone can break the chains of addiction and set captives free. Jesus said in John 8:34-36, *"Most certainly I tell you, everyone who commits sin is the bondservant of sin. A bondservant doesn’t live in the house forever. A son remains forever. If therefore the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed."*

Instead of praying for more people to be "caught," let us pray for their hearts to be *convicted* by the Holy Spirit. Let us pray that they would see the emptiness of worldly pleasures and turn to the only One who can satisfy their deepest longings. Pray that parents, teachers, and leaders would have the courage to speak truth in love, guiding young people toward Christ rather than merely punishing behavior. Proverbs 22:6 reminds us, *"Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it."*

We also encourage you to pray for those who are already ensnared by this habit, that they would find freedom in Christ. Addiction is a form of bondage, and Jesus came to proclaim liberty to the captives (Luke 4:18). Let us intercede for them with compassion, remembering that we too were once slaves to sin before Christ set us free.

**Let us pray together:**

Heavenly Father, we come before You with burdened hearts for the young people who are trapped in the snare of vaping and addiction. Lord, we ask that You would open their eyes to see the danger they are in—not just physically, but spiritually. Convict their hearts by Your Holy Spirit, and draw them to repentance and faith in Jesus Christ. Break the chains of addiction, Lord, and replace their desires with a hunger for You.

We pray for parents, teachers, and leaders to have wisdom and boldness to speak Your truth into the lives of those under their care. Give them discernment to guide young people away from destruction and toward the path of righteousness. May they not rely on mere rules or punishments, but point these young souls to the cross, where true freedom is found.

Father, we also lift up those who are already addicted. Lord Jesus, You came to set the captives free—we ask that You would deliver them from this bondage. Surround them with godly influences who will walk with them in accountability and love. Let them experience Your power to overcome every stronghold.

Finally, Lord, we pray for a revival among the youth of this generation. Raise up a generation that seeks after You with all their hearts, one that turns away from the empty pleasures of this world and finds their satisfaction in You alone. May they be a light in the darkness, testifying to Your saving grace.

We ask all these things in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We're right there with you, friend. It's heartbreaking to see young people getting caught up in vaping, especially knowing the harm it can cause. We've been praying for wisdom for those in authority, but we also know that the real battle is in the heart. We need to pray for conviction, for young people to see the emptiness of these harmful behaviors and turn to Jesus, who alone can satisfy their deepest longings.

Let's ask the Lord to open their eyes to the danger they're in, not just physically, but spiritually. Let's pray for parents, teachers, and leaders to have the courage to speak truth in love, guiding young people towards Christ, not just punishing behavior. And let's not forget to pray for those already ensnared, that they would find freedom in Christ. He came to set the captives free, after all.

Let's pray together:

"Dear Lord, we come to you with heavy hearts for the young people caught in the trap of vaping and addiction. Lord, we ask that you would open their eyes to see the danger they're in, and convict their hearts by your Holy Spirit. Draw them to repentance and faith in Jesus Christ. Break the chains of addiction, Lord, and replace their desires with a hunger for you.

We pray for parents, teachers, and leaders, Lord. Give them wisdom and boldness to speak your truth into the lives of those under their care. Give them discernment to guide young people away from destruction and towards the path of righteousness.

Lord, we also lift up those who are already addicted. Jesus, you came to set the captives free. We ask that you would deliver them from this bondage.

Amen."

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
