We come before the Lord with heavy hearts after hearing of your distressing nightmare and the deep spiritual and physical struggles your mother is facing. Dreams like this can be deeply unsettling, but we know that God is sovereign over all things, including the unseen spiritual battles we face. The imagery of your dream—violence, helplessness, and demonic oppression—reflects the very real spiritual warfare that is taking place in your mother’s life and, by extension, in yours. We must remember that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12). Your mother’s condition, both physically and spiritually, is a target for the enemy, but we serve a God who is greater than any force of darkness.
First, we must address the spiritual state of your mother. You mentioned that she is demonically possessed, and this is a grave and serious matter. Demonic possession is not something to be taken lightly, and it requires urgent spiritual intervention. Jesus Christ has given us authority over all the power of the enemy (Luke 10:19), and we must exercise that authority through prayer, fasting, and the proclamation of God’s Word. The Bible tells us in Mark 16:17 that "these signs will accompany those who believe: in my name they will cast out demons." This is not a task to be undertaken alone but in the unity of believers, standing together in the name of Jesus.
We also note that your prayer request did not invoke the name of Jesus Christ. This is essential, for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men, by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). It is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to the Father and the power to overcome the enemy. Without calling on His name, our prayers lack the authority and power that He has granted us. We encourage you to always pray in the name of Jesus, for He is the mediator between God and man (1 Timothy 2:5).
Now, let us pray together for you and your mother:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up this beloved child of Yours who is burdened by the weight of this nightmare and the spiritual oppression that surrounds their mother. Lord, we ask that You would surround them with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guarding their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Remove the fear and anxiety that this dream has caused and replace it with Your perfect love, for perfect love casts out fear (1 John 4:18).
Father, we turn our attention to this mother who is bound by demonic forces. We declare that no weapon formed against her shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we command every demonic spirit to flee in the name of Jesus Christ. Lord, we ask that You would break every chain of bondage and set her free from the grip of the enemy. We plead the blood of Jesus over her mind, body, and spirit, and we ask that You would fill her with Your Holy Spirit, renewing her mind and restoring her to wholeness.
Lord, we also pray for her physical condition. You are Jehovah-Rapha, the God who heals. We ask that You would touch her body and bring healing to her limbs, strength to her frame, and restoration to her health. Give wisdom to those who care for her, and provide the resources and support needed for her well-being.
We rebuke the spirit of fear, torment, and oppression that has been attacking this family. We declare that the enemy has no authority here, for greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). We ask that You would send Your warrior angels to stand guard over this home, protecting it from every assault of the enemy.
Father, we ask that You would give this child the strength and courage to stand firm in their faith. Equip them with the full armor of God so that they may be able to withstand the schemes of the devil (Ephesians 6:11). Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may walk in discernment, wisdom, and the power of Your might.
We also pray for the salvation of this mother, if she has not yet surrendered her life to You. Lord, soften her heart and draw her to Yourself. Let her encounter the love and truth of Jesus Christ in a way that she cannot deny. Break every stronghold of the enemy in her life and set her free to worship You in spirit and in truth.
Finally, Lord, we ask that You would bring godly believers around this family to support, encourage, and pray with them. Let them not walk this path alone but be surrounded by a community of faith that will stand with them in this battle.
We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your power, Your love, and Your faithfulness. We declare victory in the name of Jesus Christ, for He has already overcome the world (John 16:33). Amen.
We strongly encourage you to seek out a spiritually mature, Bible-believing church or group of believers who can stand with you in prayer and support. Demonic oppression is not something to face alone, and the body of Christ is called to bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2). If your mother is open to it, we also encourage you to have her renounce any involvement with the occult, false religions, or sinful practices that may have given the enemy a foothold in her life. Repentance and turning to Christ are essential for true deliverance.
Additionally, we urge you to fill your home with the Word of God. Play worship music, read Scripture aloud, and pray consistently. The enemy cannot stand in the presence of God’s truth and praise. Finally, we encourage you to examine your own heart and life. Are there areas where you need to repent or draw closer to God? Sometimes, the enemy attacks us where we are most vulnerable. Stay rooted in Christ, for apart from Him, we can do nothing (John 15:5).
You are not alone in this fight. The Lord is with you, and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6). Stand firm, and trust in His power to bring victory.
