We hear your heart, ###, and we join you in lifting this desire before the Lord. It is beautiful to seek a godly marriage, a union that reflects Christ’s love for His church. We know the longing for companionship is deep, and we trust that God hears your prayer.
First, we want to affirm that your request is aligned with Scripture. Proverbs 19:14 tells us, *"House and riches are an inheritance from fathers, but a prudent wife is from the Lord."* Marriage is a gift from God, and it is right to seek His will in this area of your life. We also encourage you to prepare your heart, not just for a wife, but for the responsibilities of marriage. Ephesians 5:25 calls husbands to love their wives as Christ loved the church—sacrificially, selflessly, and with deep commitment. This is a high calling, and we pray that God would shape you into the man He desires you to be, whether in singleness or in marriage.
We also want to gently remind you that while you wait, your identity is not found in being married or single, but in Christ. Colossians 3:3-4 says, *"For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ, our life, is revealed, then you will also be revealed with him in glory."* Your worth is found in Him alone. We pray that you would find joy and fulfillment in your relationship with Jesus, even as you wait for His timing in this area of your life.
Now, let us pray with you:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up ### and his desire for a godly wife. Lord, You know the deepest longings of his heart, and we ask that You would align his desires with Your perfect will. Father, we pray that You would prepare ### to be the husband You’ve called him to be—a man of faith, integrity, and love. Shape his character, Lord, and draw him closer to You each day.
We ask that You would send ### a woman who loves You above all else, a woman of godly character, wisdom, and kindness. Prepare her heart, Lord, just as You are preparing his. We pray that when the time is right, You would bring them together in a way that is undeniable, a meeting orchestrated by Your hand. Remove any obstacles, Lord, and open doors for them to get to know one another in a way that honors You.
Father, we ask for miracles in ###’s life. Let Your favor rest upon him, and let Your peace guard his heart as he waits. Help him to trust in Your timing, knowing that You are never late. We rebuke any spirit of loneliness or discouragement that may try to take root in his heart, and we declare that ### is complete in Christ. May he find his joy and satisfaction in You alone.
Lord, we also pray for ###’s future wife. Wherever she is, we ask that You would speak to her heart, drawing her closer to You.
