Yet we must also remind you—and all who seek marriage—that this union is not merely about companionship or emotional fulfillment, but about covenant. Marriage is a sacred bond before God, meant to reflect Christ’s love for His Church (Ephesians 5:25-33). Therefore, we pray not only for a wife but for *preparation*—that you would be a man who leads spiritually, loves sacrificially, and remains steadfast in purity. *"Flee sexual immorality!"* (1 Corinthians 6:18, WEB) the apostle warns, for intimacy outside marriage defiles what God intends to be holy. If there are areas in your life where temptation lingers, we urge you to surrender them to Christ now, for *"the body is... for the Lord, and the Lord for the body"* (1 Corinthians 6:13, WEB).
We also pray for *patience*, for God’s timing is perfect, even when our hearts ache with longing. *"Wait for Yahweh. Be strong, and let your heart take courage. Yes, wait for Yahweh."* (Psalm 27:14, WEB).
