We join you in lifting this heartfelt desire to our Heavenly Father, who knows your deepest longings and has a perfect plan for your life. It is beautiful that you seek a wife in the Lord’s will, for marriage is a sacred covenant designed by God to reflect Christ’s love for His Church. We pray that your heart remains steadfast in pursuing a relationship that honors Him—one rooted in faith, purity, and lifelong commitment.
The Bible reminds us in Proverbs 18:22, *"Whoever finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor of Yahweh."* Yet we must also remember Proverbs 3:5-6, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* Your longing for a godly wife is good, but we encourage you to surrender this desire fully to the Lord, trusting His timing and wisdom. He may be preparing you *and* your future spouse even now, refining your hearts to glorify Him together.
We also urge you to be intentional in seeking a wife who is a believer, as Scripture commands: *"Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?"* (2 Corinthians 6:14). A marriage built on shared faith in Christ is the foundation for lasting love and unity. Pray for discernment to recognize a woman who fears the Lord, for *"A worthy woman is the crown of her husband"* (Proverbs 12:4).
As you wait, guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Avoid the temptation to rush into emotional or physical intimacy outside of marriage, for *"flee sexual immorality! Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but whoever commits sexual immorality sins against his own body"* (1 Corinthians 6:18).
