Your desire for a godly marriage is one that aligns with Scripture, and we commend you for seeking the Lord’s will in this area. Marriage is a sacred covenant established by God between one man and one woman, designed to reflect Christ’s love for His Church. We pray that as you wait upon the Lord, you would seek first His kingdom and righteousness, trusting that He will add all things to you as you delight yourself in Him.
The Word of God reminds us in Proverbs 18:22, *"Whoever finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor of Yahweh."* Yet, we must also remember Proverbs 19:14, *"House and riches are an inheritance from fathers, but a prudent wife is from Yahweh."* This is not a matter of chance or human effort alone—it is the Lord who ordains such blessings. We encourage you to remain patient and trust in His timing, for His ways are higher than ours. Psalm 37:4-5 says, *"Also delight yourself in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this."*
As you wait, we urge you to prepare yourself spiritually, emotionally, and practically for the responsibility of marriage. Are you walking closely with the Lord? Are you growing in holiness, love, and selflessness? A godly marriage requires a man who leads with sacrificial love, as Christ loved the Church (Ephesians 5:25). We also encourage you to be actively involved in a biblical church where you can serve, fellowship with believers, and possibly meet a godly woman who shares your faith and values. 2 Corinthians 6:14 warns, *"Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?"* It is crucial that the woman you seek is a believer, rooted in Christ, and committed to living according to His Word.
We must also address the language in your request about a woman who *"will not give up on me until I am hers and she is mine."* While it is natural to desire mutual commitment, we caution against an unhealthy or obsessive attachment before marriage. Relationships must be built on godly love, respect, and patience—not on possessiveness or emotional dependency. Song of Solomon 8:4 charges, *"I adjure you, daughters of Jerusalem, that you not stir up, nor awaken love, until it so desires."* Let love grow naturally under the Lord’s guidance, not forced by human will.

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our brother who longs for a godly wife. Lord, You know his heart, his desires, and his needs even before he asks. We ask that You prepare him spiritually, emotionally, and practically for the blessing of marriage. Help him to seek You first, to grow in faith, and to walk in purity and holiness. Guard his heart and mind from impatience, idolatry, or unhealthy attachments.
Father, if it is Your will, bring a godly woman into his life—a woman who loves You with all her heart, who is grounded in Your Word, and who will walk beside him in faith. Let their meeting be divinely ordained, and let their relationship be built on Christ, the solid Rock. Open doors for them to get to know one another in a way that honors You, and let their courtship be marked by wisdom, prayer, and godly counsel.
We rebuke any spirit of loneliness, despair, or impatience that may seek to distract or discourage him. Fill him with Your peace and trust in Your perfect timing. Let him rest in the truth of Your Word, knowing that You are working all things together for his good and Your glory.
Lord, we ask for miracles in his life—miracles of provision, connection, and divine alignment. Let Your favor rest upon him as he waits on You. And above all, let his greatest joy be found in You, whether single or married.
