We rejoice with you in your desire for a godly marriage, as it is a beautiful reflection of Christ’s love for His Church. The Scriptures remind us that it is not good for man to be alone, and we trust that God, who knows your heart, will provide a wife who loves Him and walks in His ways. Proverbs 18:22 tells us, *"Whoever finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor of Yahweh."* Yet we must also remember Proverbs 3:5-6, which calls us to *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."*
As you seek a spouse, we encourage you to remain steadfast in your faith, growing in holiness and preparing yourself to be the husband God has called you to be. Ephesians 5:25-33 outlines the sacred responsibility of a husband to love his wife as Christ loved the Church—sacrificially, selflessly, and with unwavering commitment. Before you meet her, cultivate a life of prayer, purity, and purpose, so that when God brings her into your life, you are ready to lead her spiritually.
We also urge you to seek a woman who is equally yoked in faith, as 2 Corinthians 6:14 warns, *"Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?"* A marriage built on shared faith in Christ is the foundation for a lasting, God-honoring union. Pray not only for her arrival but for her heart—to be a woman who fears the Lord (Proverbs 31:30) and who will stand by you in every season of life.
