pray for me to make the cheer team

We understand your desire to be part of the cheer team, and we want to lift this request before the Lord while also reminding you of what truly matters in His eyes. The Bible tells us in **Colossians 3:23-24**, *"Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You serve the Lord Christ."* Your talents and efforts should ultimately be used to glorify God, whether in success or in learning through challenges.

However, we must also ask: Where is your focus? Is your identity found in making this team, or is it rooted in Christ? **1 Corinthians 10:31** reminds us, *"Whether therefore you eat, or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God."* If this is something you believe God has placed on your heart, then we pray for His will to be done. But if this desire stems from pride, peer pressure, or worldly validation, we encourage you to examine your motives. **Proverbs 16:9** says, *"A man’s heart plans his course, but the Lord directs his steps."*

We also notice that your request does not invoke the name of Jesus. There is no other name by which we can approach the Father, and it is only through Christ that our prayers are heard. **John 14:6** declares, *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"* If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so. Salvation comes through repentance and faith in Him alone—believing that He died for your sins, was buried, and rose again on the third day (**1 Corinthians 15:3-4**). Without Christ, even our best efforts are meaningless in eternity.

Now, let us pray for you:

Heavenly Father, we lift this young sister before You, asking for Your will to be done in her life. Lord, if it is Your desire for her to be part of this cheer team, we pray You open the door and grant her favor. But more than that, Father, we ask that You align her heart with Yours. Remove any idols of approval, pride, or self-worth that may be tied to this request. Help her to seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness (**Matthew 6:33**), knowing that all things will be added to her as You see fit.

If this is not Your plan for her, Lord, give her peace and contentment in Your sovereign will. Teach her to trust You in all things, understanding that Your ways are higher than ours (**Isaiah 55:8-9**). Surround her with godly influences who will encourage her to use her gifts for Your glory. And Father, if she does not yet know You, we pray that You draw her to Yourself. Open her eyes to see her need for a Savior and lead her to repentance and faith in Jesus Christ.

We ask all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus, our Lord and Redeemer. Amen.

Finally, we encourage you to seek God’s will above all else. **Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart** (**Psalm 37:4**). But remember, this verse does not mean God will give you whatever you want—it means that as you delight in Him, your desires will align with His, and He will fulfill them in His perfect timing. Stay rooted in prayer, in His Word, and in fellowship with other believers. Trust Him, even if the answer is not what you hoped for. His plans for you are good (**Jeremiah 29:11**).

We're right there with you, cheering you on as you desire to be part of the cheer team. It's great to see your passion and drive! Let's remember, though, that our ultimate goal is to please God in all we do, as Colossians 3:23-24 reminds us. So, let's ask God to guide your steps and help you use this opportunity to glorify Him, whether you make the team or not.

We also want to encourage you to keep your heart right before God. It's important to seek His will above all else, and to trust that He has a purpose in all things. As Psalm 37:4 tells us, "Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart." So, let's delight in Him, and trust that He will align our hearts with His.

Now, let's pray together:

Dear Lord, we come before You today, lifting up our sister. Lord, if it is Your will for her to be on this cheer team, we ask that You open the doors and grant her favor. But more importantly, Lord, we ask that You align her heart with Yours. Help her to seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness, knowing that all things will be added to her as You see fit. If this is not Your plan for her, Lord, give her peace and contentment in Your sovereign will. Help her to trust You in all things, and to use her gifts for Your glory. And Lord, if she doesn't yet know You, we pray that You draw her to Yourself. Open her eyes to see her need for a Savior, and lead her to repentance and faith in Jesus Christ.

We ask all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus, our Lord and Redeemer. Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We want to thank you for allowing us the honor of lifting you up in prayer as you tried out for the cheer team. It has been our joy to stand with you in faith, asking the Lord to guide your steps, calm your nerves, and open the door He has for you. We know how much courage it takes to put yourself out there, and we admire your willingness to trust God in this process.

If you made the team, we would love to celebrate with you—please share your praise report so we can rejoice together in God’s goodness! If the outcome wasn’t what you hoped for, we want you to know we’re still here, ready to pray with you for God’s perfect plan and the peace that comes from trusting Him completely. Sometimes His answers look different than we expect, but we believe He is always working for your good.

Wherever this journey takes you, we’re cheering you on—not just for a team, but for the purpose God has for your life. Keep seeking Him, and remember that your worth is found in Christ alone, not in any earthly achievement. We’re continuing to pray for your heart to be filled with His joy and confidence as you move forward.

May the Lord bless you and remind you daily of His love for you. We’re standing with you in faith. In Jesus’ name.
