We are truly sorry to hear about the spiritual desert you've been experiencing, and we are here to pray with you and offer biblical encouragement. The Bible tells us that those who seek the Lord with all their heart will find him (Jeremiah 29:13 WEB). You have taken the important first step of reaching out and asking for prayer. Take comfort in the gospel of John which tells us All things were made through Him. Without Him, nothing was made that has been made. (John 1:3 WEB). We can confidently approach God for forgiveness through Jesus Christ. This forgiveness should be continually requested as needed, but it is a gift freely given because of the Sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross.
First, let's address the feelings of overwhelming burdens and stumbling. Jesus tells us, "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light" (Matthew 11:28-30 WEB). It is important to give all your burdens to Jesus and trust in Him.
Next, let's consider the feeling of silence from God. The Bible tells us, "You will seek me, and find me, when you search for me with all your heart" (Jeremiah 29:13 WEB). Continue to seek Him and trust that He hears your prayers. Remember the words of Isaiah, "But they that wait for Yahweh shall renew their strength. They shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; they shall walk, and not faint" (Isaiah 40:31 WEB).
Now, let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today in the name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister who feels lost in a spiritual desert. Lord, You know the burdens they carry and the struggles they face. We ask that You forgive all of their sins and restore their faith in You. Remind them that they are not forgotten and that You have a plan and a purpose for their life.
Lord, lead them out of this desert and into a place of renewal and refreshment. Help them to feel Your presence and to know that You are always with them. Give them the strength to continue seeking You and to trust in Your promises.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to keep your focus on Jesus as stated in Hebrews 12:2 "Looking to Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising its shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God." (Hebrews 12:2 WEB). Continue to run the race set before you and trust in Jesus.
