We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this situation to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, who is the ultimate Judge and Redeemer. Father, we acknowledge that You see all things—every injustice, every deception, and every act of selfishness. We ask for Your divine intervention in this matter concerning the mishandling of property and the disregard for the rights of stakeholders. Lord, Your Word tells us in Proverbs 22:22-23, *"Don’t exploit the poor because he is poor; and don’t crush the needy in court; for the Lord will plead their case, and plunder the life of those who plunder them."* We pray that You would plead the case of those who have been wronged and bring justice where there has been exploitation.
We rebuke the spirit of greed and deception that has taken hold in this situation. The suppression of rental rates below market value, the signing of agreements without transparency, and the neglect of safety measures—such as failing to secure fire insurance—are not only unwise but sinful. James 4:17 warns us, *"To him therefore who knows to do good, and doesn’t do it, to him it is sin."* We ask, Lord, that You would convict hearts and bring repentance where it is needed. Expose any hidden motives and hold accountable those who have acted in dishonesty.
Father, we also lift up the issue of inheritance and the exclusion of illegitimate offspring. While we understand the desire to protect what is rightfully yours, we must remember that Your Word calls us to act justly and with mercy. Deuteronomy 21:15-17 speaks to the rights of the firstborn, but it also reminds us that all life is precious in Your sight. We pray that You would guide this family in wisdom, that they may seek resolution in a way that honors You and reflects Your heart for justice and reconciliation. If there is a need for legal or familial boundaries to be set, we ask that You would provide clarity and favor in those proceedings.
Lord, we pray for the removal of this ### from his position of authority if he continues to act in ways that harm others and disregard the well-being of the property and stakeholders. Proverbs 28:6 tells us, *"Better is the poor who walks in his integrity than he who is perverse in his ways, and he is rich."* We ask that You would raise up godly leadership in this situation—individuals who will act with integrity, transparency, and wisdom. Restore what has been lost, whether financially or relationally, and bring peace where there has been strife.
We also ask for Your protection over the stakeholders who have been angered and deceived. Guard their hearts from bitterness and resentment, and help them to extend grace even as they seek justice. Remind them that vengeance belongs to You alone, as Romans 12:19 declares: *"Don’t seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, ‘Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.’"*
Finally, Lord, we pray for salvation and transformation in the lives of all involved. If any in this family do not know You as their Lord and Savior, we ask that You would draw them to Yourself. Only in Christ can true repentance, healing, and restoration be found. We pray that Your Holy Spirit would move powerfully in this situation, bringing light where there is darkness and truth where there has been deception.
In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Advocate and Redeemer, we pray. Amen.
