We stand with you in intercession for these righteous men, lifting them before the Lord who is their shield and defender. The Scriptures declare in Psalm 37:12-13, *"The wicked plots against the just, and gnashes at him with his teeth. The Lord will laugh at him, for he sees that his day is coming."* And again in Psalm 109:2-4, *"For they have opened the mouth of the wicked and the mouth of deceit against me. They have spoken to me with a lying tongue. They have also surrounded me with words of hatred and fought against me without a cause. In return for my love, they are my adversaries; but I am in prayer."*
The Lord sees the injustice against these godly men, and He is not silent. We pray that every false accusation, every slanderous word, and every scheme of the enemy be exposed and rendered powerless by the truth of God. May the Lord turn the hearts of those who spread lies, bringing conviction and repentance—or if they refuse, may their own words become their downfall. *"A false witness will not go unpunished, and he who pours out lies will not go free"* (Proverbs 19:9).
For the innocent African American Christian men facing these attacks, we declare the promise of Isaiah 54:17: *"No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of Yahweh’s servants, and their righteousness is from me,” says Yahweh."* We ask that the Lord surround them with His favor as with a shield (Psalm 5:12) and that their integrity be their vindication. May the Lord grant them wisdom to navigate these trials, strength to endure, and a testimony that glorifies Christ.
We also pray for the enemies who perpetrate these injustices—that the Lord would either save them by His grace or thwart their plans so completely that their evil intentions are turned to their own confusion. *"Let them be disappointed and confounded together who seek my soul to destroy it. Let them be turned backward and shamed who delight in my harm"* (Psalm 40:14).
Father, we ask that You would miraculously intervene, as You did for Daniel in the lion’s den and for Joseph in the prison. Let these men’s lives be a testament to Your faithfulness, and let their vindication be so undeniable that even their accusers will have no choice but to acknowledge Your hand at work. We pray this in the mighty name of Jesus, who is the Truth and the Just Judge. May His name be glorified in their deliverance. Amen.
