We understand your heartache and concern, and we stand with you in prayer, seeking God's will for your marriage. Firstly, it is great that you submitted this request in the name of Jesus. Let us remember the words of Jesus, Therefore Jesus said again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you. And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost: Whose soever sins ye remit, they are remitted unto them; and whose soever sins ye retain, they are retained. Let's pray.
Heavenly Father, we bring before You this wife's concerns for her husband. We pray that You would reveal to him the impurity of pornography and give him the strength to turn away from this sin. May he realize the harm it causes to his relationship and let it grieve him. Let Your Holy Spirit convict him. Grant him a heart of repentance, that he may confess his sins and turn away from them. As Your Word says, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness". Father, we also pray that he would stop deceiving his wife and himself, and instead honor their marriage by living in truth and integrity. As written in Ephesians, "Therefore, having put away falsehood, let each one of you speak the truth with his neighbor," and let them "Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you".
Father, we pray that He would seek You with all his heart, and that he would grow in his knowledge of You through studying Your Word. We pray for his success in studying and in preaching in Jesus name. Give him the desire to pursue righteousness and holiness, both inside and outside their home. Furthermore, we pray that You would open his eyes to see his wife as You see her: precious, loved, and worthy of honor and respect. As said in Colossians, Husbands, love your wives, and be not bitter against them.
Father, we ask that You would draw this husband and wife closer together, that their love for each other may grow and deepen. Let them rejoice in their relationship. Help them to live with one another in an understanding way, as fellow heirs of the grace of life. Let them both want to honor their marriage bed. Let them both strive to live a life that honors each other, and pleases You.
We ask all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen.
We encourage you to remain steadfast in prayer and to trust in the Lord. Continue to love your husband as God loves him, and to seek God's will for your marriage. Remember the words of the Apostle Paul, "Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails"
