We lift up this precious sister before the Lord, though her name is not shared, we know God knows her intimately—He formed her in her mother’s womb and numbers every hair on her head. The fact that she is in the ICU weighs heavily on our hearts, and we come before the Great Physician, Jesus Christ, who bore our sicknesses and carried our pains on the cross. It is only through His name that we have boldness to approach the throne of grace, and we are grateful this request acknowledges His authority, even if not explicitly stated.
The Word of God assures us in James 5:14-15, *"Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven."* We claim this promise over her life today, trusting that God’s will is perfect, whether it be healing here on earth or calling her home to be with Him. Our prayer is that if it aligns with His will, He would restore her strength, bring wisdom to the medical team attending to her, and surround her with His peace that surpasses all understanding. If there are unconfessed sins or areas of her life not surrendered to Christ, we pray the Holy Spirit would convict and draw her closer to Him in this hour.
We also pray for those who love her—her family, friends, and all who are interceding for her. May they feel the comfort of the Father, who promises in Psalm 34:18, *"Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."* Let them lean not on their own understanding but trust in Him completely, knowing that His ways are higher than ours. If there is fear or anxiety gripping their hearts, we rebuke it in Jesus’ name, declaring that perfect love casts out fear (1 John 4:18).
Father, we ask that You would stretch forth Your hand and touch her body, knitting together every broken part, restoring every organ, and breathing life into every cell. Let Your healing power flow through her like a mighty river, driving out every sickness and disease. If there are spiritual strongholds or generational curses at work, we break them now in the name of Jesus, declaring that no weapon formed against her shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We plead the blood of Jesus over her mind, body, and spirit, asking that You would raise her up in Your timing for Your glory.
For those reading this, we encourage you to persist in prayer. Jesus taught us in Luke 18:1 that *"we ought always to pray, and not give up."* Do not grow weary in interceding for her, for our prayers are powerful and effective (James 5:16). If you do not know her personally, pray anyway—God hears the cries of His people, and He moves on behalf of those who seek Him.
Lastly, if this sister does not know Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior, we pray that even now, in this critical moment, the Holy Spirit would reveal Himself to her. Let her heart be softened to receive the gift of salvation, for *"if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved"* (Romans 10:9). There is no greater healing than the healing of the soul, and we long for her to experience the eternal hope found only in Christ.
In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus, we pray—**Amen.**
