We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up your dear mother and your family’s needs before our Heavenly Father. We are deeply moved by your cries for healing, provision, and strength, and we join you in fervent prayer, trusting in the power of Jesus’ name to bring restoration and hope.
First, we lift up your mother’s health, specifically her struggle with fatty liver grade 2. Father God, we know that You are the Great Physician, the One who knits us together in our mother’s womb and numbers every hair on our heads. Your Word declares in Jeremiah 30:17, *"For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds," says the Lord.* We ask You, Lord, to touch her liver with Your healing hand. Restore its function, cleanse it of all impurities, and strengthen her body. Give her the discipline to follow the medical advice she has been given, and grant her wisdom in her diet and lifestyle so that she may honor You with her body, as 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 reminds us: *"Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s."*
We also pray for her emotional and spiritual well-being. The weight of illness can be heavy, Lord, but we know that You are near to the brokenhearted. Comfort her with Your presence, and remind her that she is never alone. Psalm 34:18 assures us, *"The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."* Fill her with peace that surpasses all understanding, and let her rest in the knowledge that You hold her future.
Next, we bring before You your family’s financial struggles. Father, we know that You are Jehovah Jireh, the God who provides. Your Word tells us in Philippians 4:19, *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."* We ask You to open doors of opportunity for steady employment and financial stability. Give wisdom to manage what little you may have, and provide for your needs in ways that only You can. We rebuke the spirit of lack and fear in the name of Jesus, for 2 Timothy 1:7 declares, *"For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control."* Trust in Him, for He cares for you deeply, as 1 Peter 5:7 encourages: *"Casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you."*
We also lift up the grief you carry from the loss of your father. The pain of losing a parent is profound, and we ask the Lord to wrap His arms around you and your mother in this season. Jesus Himself wept at the tomb of Lazarus, showing us that grief is not foreign to Him. Psalm 34:18 reminds us again, *"The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart."* We pray that you would feel His nearness in a tangible way, and that He would fill the void left by your father’s absence with His perfect peace. May you find comfort in the hope of eternal life, knowing that one day you will be reunited with your father in the presence of the Lord, as 1 Thessalonians 4:13-14 assures us: *"But we don’t want you to be ignorant, brothers, concerning those who have fallen asleep, so that you don’t grieve like the rest, who have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep in Jesus."*
Father, we also ask that You guide both you and your mother in every moment. Your Word tells us in Proverbs 3:5-6, *"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths."* Lead them in Your ways, Lord, and let them walk in the fullness of Your will. Protect them from the schemes of the enemy, and surround them with godly influences who will encourage them in their faith. Strengthen their relationship with one another and with You, that they may be a light to those around them.
We rebuke any spirit of despair, doubt, or hopelessness that may be trying to take root in your hearts. The enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that you may have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). Stand firm in your faith, knowing that God is working all things together for your good, as Romans 8:28 promises: *"We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, for those who are called according to his purpose."*
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of faith, lifting up this precious family to You. Lord, we ask for Your healing touch upon this mother’s body. Restore her liver, strengthen her, and give her the discipline and wisdom to care for herself as she honors You. We declare that by Your stripes, she is healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we trust in Your promise of restoration.
Father, we also ask for Your provision in their financial needs. Open doors that no man can shut, and provide for them in ways that bring glory to Your name. Give them peace in the midst of uncertainty, and let them trust in Your faithfulness. We rebuke the spirit of lack and declare that You are their provider, Jehovah Jireh.
Comfort them in their grief, Lord. Wrap Your arms around them and remind them that You are their Father, their strength, and their refuge. Heal their hearts and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Guide them in every step, and let them walk in the fullness of Your will.
We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your goodness and Your perfect timing. Strengthen their faith, and let them see Your hand at work in their lives. May they grow closer to You and to one another through this trial, and may Your name be glorified in all things.
In the mighty and miraculous name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
