We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up those Christian applicants who are awaiting approval for their Social Security appeals and applications. Father God, we know that You are the ultimate provider and sustainer, and we ask that You move miraculously on behalf of Your children in this situation. Your Word tells us in Philippians 4:19, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." We stand on this promise, believing that You will meet the needs of those who are trusting in You.
Lord, we pray that You would open doors that no man can shut and grant favor to these applicants in the eyes of those who are reviewing their cases. We ask that You would guide the hands and hearts of the decision-makers, that they would act with wisdom, justice, and compassion. In Proverbs 21:1, we read, "The king’s heart is in Yahweh’s hand like the watercourses. He turns it wherever he desires." We trust that You are able to turn the hearts of those in authority to look favorably upon these appeals.
We also lift up these brothers and sisters in Christ, asking that You would grant them patience, peace, and perseverance as they wait. May they find their strength in You, knowing that You are their refuge and fortress. Psalm 55:22 reminds us, "Cast your burden on Yahweh, and he will sustain you. He will never allow the righteous to be moved." We pray that they would cast their anxieties upon You and trust in Your perfect timing.
Father, we rebuke any spirit of delay or injustice that may be hindering these applications. We declare that in the name of Jesus, every obstacle is removed, and every appeal is approved according to Your will. We speak life, provision, and breakthrough over these situations, believing that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, as stated in Ephesians 3:20.
We also want to gently remind those who are waiting that their hope and trust must ultimately be in You, Lord. While we pray for these earthly provisions, we know that our true citizenship is in heaven, and our greatest need is salvation through Jesus Christ. If anyone reading this has not yet surrendered their life to Him, we urge them to do so today. Romans 10:9 says, "If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." There is no other name by which we can be saved, and it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father.
Lord, we commit these appeals and applications into Your hands, trusting that You will work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). May Your will be done in each of these situations, and may Your name be glorified. We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus, Amen.
